Our vision is to introduce Christ to the unreached people with God's love. In Bangladesh, if someone become keenly desirous to follow the command of Jesus as mentioned in Mathew 28:19–20, "you, therefore, must go out, making disciples of all nations, and baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all the commandments which I have give
n you", he/she must will have to emphasis on the culture of the majority group people, that is, on the culture of the Muslim community. In around 1600 century, Gospel was first preached in this region, and since then, both of Catholics and Protestants are practicing the religious devotion either according to the European culture or Hindu culture or according to a mixed culture of those two. Till today, none of those churches are practicing the religious devotion according to the Muslim culture or tradition. As a result, from the very beginning of Christianity established in this region, the Muslim converts faced a disagreeable! Cultural problem and we think this was a major barricade behind accept Jesus for Muslim people into Christianity. So, on 2nd September 1999, we, the converts from Muslim background established Isa-e Jamat, we kept this reality in our mind to make a platform where the new believers can stand firmly. Therefore, Isa-e Jamat can be regarded as the Jamat or the Church in this region which is more or less based on the culture of the majority group people of this region and was established directly by the Muslim background believers. Isa-e Jamat Bangladesh (IJB) started as a platform of Muslim background believers. Many scattered believers form all over the country were not organized in a congregation. So IJB started Church planting work among the Muslim majority community in a contextualized Bengali Islamic way. We used the word “Jamat” to mean the local congregation. But this name is mostly used by Islamic groups, so to avoid the confusion we changed the congregational name in Isa-e Church Bangladesh. So, as member of the universal Church, we are Isa-e Church Bangladesh (ICB). It is a continuing Church denomination of the platform of Isa-e Jamat Bangladesh (IJB).
