Allah says: "So verily, with hardship comes ease. Verily, with hardship comes ease." - Ash-Sharh (94:5-6)

The scholars noted something precise here: the word for hardship (al-'usr) is definite, the same hardship, one instance. The word for ease (yusr) is indefinite, a new ease, multiplied. One hardship. Two eases. That is the ratio Allah set.

Imam Ash-Shafi'i concluded from this that no single hardship can ever outweigh what Allah attached to it. The ease isn't coming after the difficulty. It's already paired with it.

Financial pressure, unemployment, uncertainty... these are not signs that Allah has abandoned you. They are the hardship that already has its ease written alongside it.

You don't need to find the way out. You need to keep moving through.

May Allah let you reach the ease that's already been written for you.
