There is a very authentic hadith in Sahih al-Bukhari about the great reward for going early to Jumu‘ah prayer.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“When Friday comes, the angels stand at the doors of the mosque and record the people according to their order of arrival. The one who comes earliest is like one who has sacrificed a camel; the next like one who has sacrificed a cow; the next like one who has sacrificed a ram; the next like one who has sacrificed a chicken; and the next like one who has offered an egg. When the Imam comes out, they close their records and listen to the sermon.”

📖 Sahih al-Bukhari 881

🌸 The rewards mentioned

1. 🐪 First to arrive: reward equivalent to sacrificing a camel.
2. 🐄 Second: equivalent to sacrificing a cow.
3. 🐑 Third: equivalent to sacrificing a ram.
4. 🐔 Fourth: equivalent to offering a chicken.
5. 🥚 Fifth: equivalent to offering an egg.

So, the earlier you go to Jumu‘ah, the greater the recorded reward until the imam comes out for the khutbah.

Beware of ruining your hardship and efforts through excessive complaining.

There is nothing wrong with feeling tired, overwhelmed, or worn out in times of sorrow. But do not constantly complain to people, for excessive complaining can diminish the reward of patience.

Instead, turn your grief to Allah, as Yaqoob عليه السلام said:
إِنَّمَا أَشْكُو بَثِّي وَحُزْنِي إِلَى اللَّهِ وَأَعْلَمُ مِنَ اللَّهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ
“I only complain of my suffering and my grief to Allah, and I know from Allah that which you do not know.” (Surah Yusuf: 86).

Be patient and seek your reward from Allah. Entrust your hardship to Him and endure with hope, knowing that no struggle faced with patience is ever lost, and guard your tongue from excessive complaint.
