The Bangladesh Catholic Students’ Movement (BCSM) extends its warmest congratulations to Andrea Vaz on her election as the Coordinator of the International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS) Asia-Pacific for the 2027–2029 term.

As young people across Asia-Pacific navigate the challenges of a rapidly changing world, we are confident that Andrea’s faith, vision, and spirit of service will inspire meaningful action and strengthen the movement across the region.

May the Holy Spirit guide and strengthen her throughout this three-year journey of service, and may Saint Thomas Aquinas, patron saint of students, intercede for her in this new responsibility.

🌍 WE STAND IN SOLIDARITY

Nature is showing us its most devastating side. From floods and wildfires to earthquakes, landslides, storms, and extreme heat, disasters are affecting communities across the world. What happens in one part of the world is no longer just their concern. It is a warning for all of us.

These tragedies remind us that we must act now, become more aware, protect our environment, and care for our common home.

And to those who are facing these disasters and struggling through unimaginable challenges, our message is simple: You are not alone. We stand with you.

Today, we stand beside those who suffer, in solidarity.
Tomorrow, we continue to stand for the protection of our common home.

Care for Creation. Protect the Environment. Stand with those who suffer.

The Earth is our common home. Let’s protect it before it’s too late.

🤝 Standing Together in Solidarity | BCSM Relief Initiative

In times of disaster, solidarity becomes more than a word—it becomes an action. ❤️

On 7 August 2026, the Bangladesh Catholic Students’ Movement (BCSM) carried out a relief assistance initiative at Bolipara Parish, The Chattogram Metropolitan Archdiocese , extending support to more than 57 affected families by distributing essential food and daily-use items.

The initiative was made possible through the generosity of our donors and well-wishers, along with the valuable cooperation of Balipara Parish and the Chattogram Youth Commission. We are especially grateful to Fr. Sh*tal Rosario, CSC and Sr. Sukriti Gregory, RNDM, for their support in coordinating the local distribution.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to every donor, well-wisher, priest, religious sister, volunteer, and representative who contributed to making this initiative possible. Your generosity turned compassion into meaningful action.

As BCSM, we believe that standing beside people in their time of need is not only a social responsibility, but also a powerful expression of human solidarity and love. ❤️

Together, let us continue to serve, care, and walk with those who need us most.

🌿 World Day of Indigenous Peoples | 9 August 🌿

Indigenous peoples are the keepers of ancestral wisdom, culture, language, identity, and a profound relationship with our common home. Yet, their voices, rights, lands, and traditions continue to face challenges.

On this World Day of Indigenous Peoples, BCSM stands in solidarity with Indigenous communities and youth - celebrating their rich cultures, respecting their rights, and recognizing their invaluable contribution to a more just, inclusive, and sustainable world.

Let us listen to Indigenous voices, protect their dignity, preserve their heritage, and work together for a future where no community is left behind. 🤝🌱

With heartfelt gratitude, the Bangladesh Catholic Students' Movement (BCSM) thanks every individual, family, friend, and well-wisher who generously supported our Help for Bandarban emergency relief campaign.

Because of your compassion and generosity, we have successfully completed our fundraising campaign. Your support is more than a donation. It is a message of hope to families who have lost their homes and livelihoods due to the devastating floods and landslides in Bandarban.

📍 Starting from 6 August, our relief team will begin distributing humanitarian assistance in the affected areas of Bandarban.

We are delighted to share that the National Chaplain of the Bangladesh Catholic Students' Movement (BCSM), Fr. Bikash Rebeiro, CSC, National Executive Member Bless Thiøtoneus , together with Five esteemed Diocesan Chaplains from across Bangladesh, have arrived in Chiang Mai, Thailand to participate in the Global Chaplain Animators Formation Exchange (CAFE) 2026.

Hosted at the International Youth Training Centre-IYTC , this global formation programme brings together chaplains and youth leaders from different countries to strengthen leadership, deepen faith, and foster international collaboration in youth ministry.

We pray that this journey will be a meaningful experience of learning, sharing, and building global solidarity. May they return inspired and equipped to continue serving young people across Bangladesh with renewed vision and commitment.
