Next time you finish praying, I want you to challenge yourself with one simple thing. 🛑

Don't get up from your prayer mat.

No matter what is rushing through your mind, force yourself to stay seated until you finish your post-prayer Dhikr:

33x Subhanallah

33x Alhamdulillah

34x Allahu Akbar

The minute you start doing this, your brain will start making excuses. You will suddenly think: "I need to get up. I have to check my phone. I have work to do."

Sitting there and fighting that urge? That is the Mujahada (the spiritual struggle).

Here is a beautiful secret: There is immense noor (light) created when you do an act of worship that your lower self is resisting. The light is in that struggle.

Sometimes we do our Dhikr in a state of pure joy maybe you just closed a big deal or had a newborn baby, and you fall into Sujud because your heart is overflowing. That’s easy. But often, worship becomes a routine. We just do it to check a box and get it over with.

The Evolution of Dhikr
Even if you are just zooming through the 33-33-34 right now, keep going. It is a good start.

But your next challenge is to sit down and make a conscious decision: "I'm not just going to recite these words I am going to feel them."

When you reach that state, you are experiencing the closest connection to Allah. The kings of this world would sacrifice absolutely everything they own to feel the kind of peace that settles into your heart through this level of presence.

The Daily 300 Regimen
If you want to truly decode Dhikr and see its rewards (ajr) manifest in your life, you need a daily system. A non-negotiable routine.

This doesn't mean mumbling words while multitasking. It means making Wudu, facing the Qibla, and giving Allah your undivided attention. Commit to this every single day whether it's right after Fajr or right before you sleep:

100x Astaghfirullah

100x Salawat on the Prophet (Allahumma salli ala sayyidina Muhammadin wa alihi)

100x La ilaha illallah

How do you stay motivated to do this every day?
Istihdar al-fada'il be intensely aware of the reward. If you read the Hadiths regarding Dhikr in books like Riyad al-Salihin, you will be amazed by what these simple phrases achieve. When you realize what awaits you, you won't do it out of obligation; you'll do it happily.

Try the challenge today. Don't rush off the mat.
