CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE
Date: April 01, 2026
Subject: Celebrating a Vision of Peace on the 82nd Anniversary of Most Venerable Luang Por Dhammajayo
Most Venerable Sir,
On this auspicious April 22nd, we join the global community in celebrating Earth Day and, with even greater joy, your 82nd Birthday Anniversary. It is truly profound that your birth coincides with a day dedicated to our planet.
Your guiding principle, “World Peace through Inner Peace”, has become a universal blueprint for environmental and spiritual harmony. By teaching millions to discover the “Sun of Peace” within, you have planted seeds of compassion that protect not only the Earth but also the hearts of all beings.
For more than half a century, you have stood as a radiant beacon of wisdom (paññā), compassion (karuṇā), and visionary leadership. Your noble work has:
• Strengthened a disciplined and well-trained Saṅgha grounded in sīla, samādhi, and paññā
• Inspired lay communities toward ethical, mindful, and socially responsible living
• Promoted global meditation movements cultivating inner peace and collective harmony
• Expanded the Buddha’s teachings across cultures and nations
• Advanced compassionate social welfare initiatives for the benefit of all beings
This reflects the timeless truth of the Buddha’s teaching: inner transformation is the foundation of outer peace, and personal awakening contributes to global harmony.
In the spirit of the Kalyāṇamitta Sutta, where the Blessed One declared that “admirable friendship is the whole of the holy life”, this gathering stands as a living expression of noble friendship in action, uniting the global Buddhist community for the welfare of the world.
On this meaningful occasion of World Earth Day, we are reminded of our shared responsibility toward the Earth. The Buddha teaches us to live with mindfulness, moderation, and gratitude, recognizing nature as a selfless and compassionate giver.
May this noble event inspire renewed commitment to environmental responsibility, spiritual development, and global peace.
