As a proud member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church of Australia, we stand tall as a beacon of Tongan heritage and Christian values, serving our diverse congregation with unwavering dedication. 🇹🇴

At Sā Pita, we believe in embodying our faith through ac

tion, actively engaging with and uplifting the Greater Brisbane community. Through our various ministries and teams, including our renowned Brass Band, uplifting Worship Team, nurturing Mens & Womens Fellowship groups, engaging Sunday School, and dynamic Youth Group, we strive to create a space where everyone can find their place to grow and thrive. 🎺🎶🙏

An old motto, "Not just a church, but a family," encapsulates the essence of who we are. With services conducted in both Tongan and English, we ensure that all feel welcome and included in our loving community. 💒

As we journey together in faith, let us reflect on the words of Psalm 133:1, which beautifully captures the spirit of unity and harmony that defines Sā Pita:

Join us as we continue to spread love, hope, and the transformative power of God's Word. Together, we are not just a church, but a family, bound by faith and fueled by love. ❤️🙌

What a blessed time together at Sā Pita today as we worshipped, fellowshipped and celebrated our fathers and father figures.

A special thank you to Katalina Kite for sharing about the 𝐍𝐢𝐮 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐟 Community Ministry and the vision to help and support our communities. We’re looking forward to seeing what God is going to do in this space. 🙏🏽

Today we also had the privilege of witnessing the 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐡 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐢, beautiful daughter of Kristian Satui & Keina Satui . May God’s hand continue to be upon Emunah as she grows in His love and grace. 🤍

Today’s message by Luke Satui, from Exodus 1:8–2:10, reminded us:

“𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐚 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐚 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞.”

What was meant to destroy Moses became part of God’s plan to preserve him. Be encouraged — God can still bring purpose out of what was meant against you.

It was wonderful welcoming Faifekau Sakala & Faifekau Sitika back from Tonga, looking refreshed and ready for the journey ahead.

Also great to see our youth serving in the worship team. May we continue to encourage the next generation to use their gifts for God’s glory.

What a blessing it was to gather together again as one church family this Sunday.

A special thank you to Katalina Kite for sharing God’s Word and reminding us through the story of Joseph:

“He turned what the enemy meant for evil, into GOOD!” 🙌🏽

📖 Genesis 45:1–15

What may look like a setback, disappointment or even the work of the enemy, God can turn around and use for His purpose and for our good. Keep trusting Him, even when you cannot yet see what He is doing.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank Luseane Siale, who faithfully uses her God-given talent to prepare the beautiful flower arrangements for our services each week. Your service behind the scenes helps make our place of worship beautiful, and we truly appreciate you.

May we all continue to use the gifts God has given us to serve Him and bless others.

To God be all the glory!

What a blessed Sunday together!

A big mālō ‘aupito to Faifekau ‘Alekisanita for sharing God’s Word with us today and for the encouragement to continue keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, especially through the storms of life.

We were also so blessed to see some of our young youth stepping up and serving in today’s Worship Team! It is always encouraging to see the next generation using their gifts and talents to glorify God.

It was wonderful to welcome some new faces into our church family today. May God bless you all, and we hope to see you again next Sunday!

As we enter a new week, may we not leave today’s message at church. May we remember it, live it, and apply it throughout the week:

𝟭. 𝗞𝗼 𝗲 𝗺𝗼’𝗼𝗻𝗶 ‘𝗼 𝗲 ‘𝗮𝗳𝗮̄ — 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺

𝟯. 𝗞𝗼 𝗲 𝗺𝗮̄𝗹𝗼𝗵𝗶 ‘𝗼 ‘𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗮 — 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀

Whatever this week may bring, KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS.

What an honour and privilege it was for the Sā Pita Worship Team to serve at the South QLD Wesleyans Women’s Retreat 2026.

With the inspiring theme “𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞”, and the powerful ministry of guest speaker Cherie Floyd, it was truly a weekend where we saw God move in incredible ways. We are so grateful to have been part of such a Spirit-filled gathering alongside so many amazing women of faith.

A heartfelt 𝐦𝐚̄𝐥𝐨̄ ’𝐚𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐨 to everyone who helped make this weekend possible:

• Lesley Henry and the entire leadership team – thank you for inviting us to serve and for your constant encouragement, kindness, and hospitality throughout the retreat.

• Richard Blinks – thank you for being an outstanding sound engineer. Your professionalism and dedication ensured everything ran smoothly, allowing us to focus on leading people into worship.

• Tim Missenden from BCL Production Services – thank you for making sure we had all the right equipment and for going above and beyond by assisting with the logistics. Your support was greatly appreciated.

• Hills Church – thank you for generously loaning us a complete drum kit. Your kindness and willingness to support another ministry is a wonderful example of the Body of Christ working together.

Most importantly, we give all glory and honour to God. Thank You, Lord, for the opportunity to serve, for every life that was touched, and for reminding us that true worship is all about You.

Our Faifekau and their families have been greatly blessed during their time in the Kingdom of Tonga.

It was a wonderful privilege to worship alongside our brothers and sisters at Haʻateiho SUTT, joining together as one body in Christ. We are especially thankful for the opportunity to serve in the worship service through the Brass Band and by participating in the Fakavahailesoni.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the congregation of Haʻateiho SUTT for your warm hospitality, fellowship, and Christian love. Thank you for welcoming us so generously and allowing us to worship together.

May God continue to bless your church, your ministry, and every family as we remain united in Christ.

All Things Work Together for the Good
Romans 8:28

A blessed Sunday of worship and fellowship at Sā Pita.

A heartfelt mālō ’aupito to Tevita Mailau for faithfully sharing God’s Word and reminding us that “all things work together for the good” for those who love Him.

It was especially encouraging to see our young people confidently leading worship and serving throughout the service. We thank God for raising up the next generation and for blessing each of them with unique gifts and talents that can be used for His glory.

May we continue to encourage one another to serve faithfully, trust God’s perfect plan, and use the gifts He has given us to build His Kingdom.

WHY DO YOU COME TO CHURCH?

A simple question, but one that challenges us to look at our hearts.

A special thank you to Taito A La’a for sharing today’s Word, based on Matthew 13:1–9, 18–23 and the Parable of the Sower.

“He who has ears to hear, let him hear.”

May we not only come to church to hear the Word, but allow God’s Word to take root, grow, and produce fruit in our lives.

Have a blessed week, Sā Pita family.
