This year the annual Combined Churches' Service for National Reconciliation Week will take place on Thursday, 28th May at 4 p.m. at the Uniting Church, York.

National Reconcilation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. As such the theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is "All In", a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.

The forerunner of National Reconcilation Week was the Week of Prayer for Reconciliation which was an initiative of the Australain Council of Churches and commenced in 1993.

Tonight at 5.30 p.m. at St Mary's Church, Beverley I presided at the first of my sixteen Holy Week and Easter Day services across four major centres of the Avon Valley. While it requires a significant amount of driving it is a privilege and joy to offer to the people of the Avon Valley and Central Wheatbelt an opportunity to participate in the most sacred time of the Christian Year when we recall Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem as we enter into the Passion of Christ — his Crucifixion, death and Resurrection — through liturgical celebration and personal conversion. Might there be those whose Faith will be awakened, refreshed and renewed!
All are welcome to join in these celebrations.
