Ephesians 5 talks about how a wife ought to submit to her husband. But this verse is not saying submission means the wife does not matter. God designed submission in marriage to actually come back to Jesus; together, the husband and wife submit to and love each other as they submit to Jesus Christ. It is not about a power struggle. It is about loving and respecting each other, not because we must, but because we willingly are submitting to Jesus Christ.
