FAITH IS TAUGHT, BUT ALSO CAUGHT!
What an incredible morning we had on Sunday as Ps Luke brought a powerful word from Deuteronomy 6.
There is an order God calls us to live by: love God first, with all our heart, soul and strength. Before we can lead our families and disciple the next generation, our own lives need to be connected to Jesus.
John 15:5 reminds us that we need to abide in Him, to remain connected and continually draw from Jesus as our source.
Our children donโt need to see perfect parents, they need to see godly parents. Faith is taught, but it is also caught. Our children are watching how we live, what we prioritise and where we turn when life gets hard. They need to see us loving Jesus, praying, worshipping and choosing Him.
Discipleship comes through consistency and intentionality. Jesus didnโt simply tell His disciples how to live, He led by example. Some of the greatest lessons we will teach our children wonโt come from what we say, but from what they consistently see in us.
Because if we donโt disciple our young people, the world will. If we arenโt intentional about living with Jesus, someone or something else will influence them.
The question isnโt simply, โAm I a disciple?โ but โWhat am I a disciple of?โ
