Daily Devotion – May 1, 2026

Scripture: Galatians 5:25 – “Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”

Theme: Walking in the Spirit in Our Work

Background:
In Galatians, Apostle Paul teaches that believers are called to a new life led by the Holy Spirit, not by selfish desires. This guidance applies to every area of life—including our daily work, responsibilities, and interactions with others.

Application :
On this International Labour Day, we reflect on the dignity of work and the value of every worker. Galatians 5:25 reminds us that our work should not only be productive but also Spirit-led. Whether in offices, fields, health facilities, or communities, we are called to demonstrate integrity, fairness, humility, and love.

Working “in step with the Spirit” means:

Treating colleagues with respect and compassion

Acting with honesty and accountability

Promoting justice and fairness in the workplace

Serving others with dedication, not just for reward but as service to God

As we celebrate labour, we also remember that true fulfillment in work comes when it is guided by God’s Spirit and aligned with His purpose.

Conclusion:
International Labour Day is not only a time to honor human effort but also an opportunity to recommit our work to God. When we walk by the Spirit, our labor becomes meaningful, impactful, and a testimony of God’s presence in our lives.

Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of work and the strength to labor. On this Labour Day, help us to walk in step with Your Spirit in all that we do. Teach us to work with integrity, serve with love, and uplift others through our actions. May our labor bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Daily Devotion – April 17, 2026

Text: 1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”

Theme: Stay Alert and Firm in Faith

Background:
The Apostle Peter wrote this letter to encourage Christians who were facing persecution and spiritual challenges. In this verse, he warns believers to be sober-minded and watchful because the devil is actively seeking to destroy faith. The imagery of a roaring lion emphasizes danger and urgency.

Application:
As believers, we are called to remain spiritually alert in our daily lives. Temptations, discouragement, and distractions can weaken our faith if we are not watchful. Through prayer, reading God’s Word, and staying connected to a community of faith, we can stand firm. Resist the enemy by trusting in God’s strength and walking in obedience.

Conclusion:
God calls us to be vigilant and steadfast. When we stay rooted in Christ, we are protected and empowered to overcome every spiritual attack.

Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Help us to remain alert and strong in our faith. Give us the wisdom to recognize the enemy’s schemes and the courage to resist them. Strengthen us through Your Word and guide us to walk in obedience each day. Keep us steadfast in Christ, now and always.
Amen.

Daily Devotion – April 9, 2026

Scripture text: Acts 4:12
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Theme: Salvation is Found in Christ Alone

Background:
In Acts 4, Peter and John stand before the religious council after healing a lame man at the temple gate. Though they were ordinary men, they spoke with boldness because they had been with Jesus. Filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter clearly declares that the miracle was done through Jesus Christ, whom the leaders had crucified but whom God raised from the dead. In verse 12, he emphasizes the exclusive and powerful truth of the Gospel—salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone, not in human effort, tradition, or any other name.

Application:
This message is still relevant today. Many people seek salvation, peace, and meaning in different places—wealth, power, religion, or personal achievements—but true salvation is found only in Jesus Christ. As believers, we are called to:

Place our full trust in Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

Remain steadfast in our faith, even when faced with challenges or opposition.

Boldly and lovingly share the message of Christ with others.

Live lives that reflect the transforming power of salvation through our words and actions.

Let this truth strengthen your confidence today: your salvation is secure in Christ alone.

Conclusion:
There is no other name that saves but Jesus. He is the foundation of our faith, the source of our hope, and the assurance of eternal life. Let us hold firmly to Him and proclaim His name without fear.

Closing Prayer:
Gracious Lord, thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to trust in Him completely and not be swayed by the distractions of this world. Fill us with boldness to share Your truth and live in a way that honors You. Strengthen our faith daily and use us as instruments of Your grace. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.

Daily Devotion – April 7, 2026

Scripture text: John 5:24
“Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”

Theme: From Death to Life Through Faith

Background:
In this passage, Jesus speaks about the power of His word and the promise of eternal life. He emphasizes that those who hear His message and believe in God are no longer under condemnation. This statement was made during His ministry as He revealed His divine authority and mission to bring salvation.

Application:
This verse assures us that eternal life is not something we wait for after death—it begins the moment we truly believe in Christ. As believers, we are called to live in this assurance, free from fear and condemnation. Let us strengthen our faith daily by listening to His word and trusting in His promises, even in difficult times.

Conclusion:
Faith in Christ transforms our lives now and secures our future. We move from spiritual death to eternal life through Him. Therefore, live with confidence, hope, and obedience, knowing that you belong to God.

Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of eternal life through Your Son. Help us to hear Your word, believe with all our hearts, and walk daily in the assurance of Your promises. Strengthen our faith and guide us to live in obedience and joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Daily Devotion – April 6, 2026

Scripture text: Matthew 28:19
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

Theme:

The Call to Make Disciples

Background:

This verse is part of the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ after His resurrection. Before ascending into heaven, He entrusted His disciples with the mission to spread the gospel to all nations. It was not only a command to the early disciples but a lasting mandate for all believers.

Application:

As Christians, we are called to actively share the message of Christ through our words and actions. Making disciples begins in our daily lives—within our families, workplaces, and communities. It involves teaching, mentoring, and living a life that reflects Christ’s love. Even small acts of kindness and faithfulness can lead others to know Him.

Conclusion:

The Great Commission reminds us that our faith is not meant to be kept to ourselves. We are sent with a purpose—to bring others into a relationship with God. Let us be intentional in fulfilling this calling with courage and love.

Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son. Help us to obey Your command to go and make disciples. Give us boldness to share Your truth and love with others. Guide our words and actions so that we may reflect Christ in all we do. Empower us by Your Holy Spirit to reach those around us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Daily Devotion – Resurrection Sunday (April 5, 2026)

Text: Matthew 28:6 – “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.”

Theme: The Power of the Risen Christ

Background:
This verse captures the moment the angel announced the resurrection of Jesus to the women who came to the tomb. After the sorrow and darkness of the crucifixion, this message brought hope, victory, and confirmation that Jesus is truly the Son of God who conquered death.

Application:
The resurrection reminds us that no situation is beyond God’s power. Just as Christ overcame the grave, we too can experience new life, hope, and victory over sin, fear, and despair. Today, we are called to believe His promises, walk in faith, and share the good news with others.

Conclusion:
Resurrection Sunday is a celebration of life, hope, and redemption. The empty tomb is proof that God’s word never fails. Jesus is alive, and because He lives, we have eternal hope.

Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ, and for the power of His resurrection. Help us to live in the victory of the risen Lord and to share this hope with others. Strengthen our faith and fill our hearts with joy today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Daily Devotion – Silent Saturday (April 4, 2026)

Scripture text: 1 John 3:16
"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters."

Theme: Love Revealed in Silence

Background:
Silent Saturday is a day of waiting and reflection. After the suffering and death of Jesus on Good Friday, the world seemed quiet and without hope. In this silence, believers remember the depth of Christ’s sacrifice. 1 John 3:16 reminds us that true love is known through Jesus laying down His life for us.

Application:
Even in seasons when God feels silent, His love remains active and powerful. Silent Saturday teaches us to trust God in the waiting. As Christ gave Himself for us, we are called to show sacrificial love to others—through kindness, patience, and service, even when it is not easy or visible.

Conclusion:
Silence does not mean absence. God was at work even in the stillness of the tomb. Our hope is alive, and love has already won.

Closing Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of Your Son, who showed us the greatest love through His sacrifice. In moments of silence and uncertainty, help us to trust in Your unfailing presence. Teach us to love others as Christ loved us. Strengthen our faith as we wait for the joy of resurrection.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Daily Devotion – Good Friday (April 3, 2026)

Scripture text: Isaiah 53:5

“But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.”

Theme: The Sacrifice That Brings Healing and Peace

Background:
Isaiah 53 is a prophetic passage describing the suffering servant—foretelling the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ long before His coming. On Good Friday, Christians remember how Jesus was crucified, bearing the sins of humanity. His suffering was not for His own wrongdoing, but for our salvation—bringing forgiveness, peace, and healing to all who believe.

Application:

Receive His sacrifice: Acknowledge that Jesus suffered for your sins and accept His gift of salvation.

Live in gratitude: Let His sacrifice shape your life through humility, obedience, and love.

Practice forgiveness: As Christ forgave, we are called to forgive others.

Trust His healing: Whether spiritual, emotional, or physical, place your burdens on Him.

Seven Words of Jesus on the Cross:

1. “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” (Luke 23:34)
2. “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:43)
3. “Woman, here is your son… Here is your mother.” (John 19:26–27)
4. “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46)
5. “I thirst.” (John 19:28)
6. “It is finished.” (John 19:30)
7. “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” (Luke 23:46)

Conclusion:
Good Friday reminds us that the cross was not the end, but the pathway to redemption. Jesus paid the ultimate price so that we might have life. His wounds brought us healing, and His death secured our peace with God.

Closing Prayer:

Heavenly Father,
We thank You for the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who bore our sins on the cross. Help us to understand the depth of His love and to live in the light of His grace. Teach us to walk in humility, forgiveness, and obedience. May His suffering bring healing to our hearts and peace to our lives.
In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Daily Devotion – April 2, 2026 (Maundy Thursday)

verse of the day: John 16:33

Theme: Peace in the Midst of Trouble

Background:
In John 16:33, Jesus speaks to His disciples just before His suffering and crucifixion. He prepares them for the कठिन times ahead, reminding them that although they will face trouble in the world, they can find peace in Him because He has overcome the world. This message comes during a moment of deep uncertainty and fear among the disciples.

Application:
Today, as we reflect on Maundy Thursday, we are reminded that challenges, trials, and uncertainties are part of life. Yet, Jesus offers us His peace—not as the world gives, but a lasting, inner peace. Even in difficult situations, we can take courage, trusting that Christ has already secured victory. Let us hold on to faith, remain steadfast, and encourage others with this same hope.

Conclusion:
No matter what we face, we are not alone. Jesus’ victory assures us that trouble does not have the final word—peace and triumph in Him do.

Closing Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your promise of peace in the midst of life’s troubles. Help us to trust in You, especially in difficult times. Strengthen our faith and fill our hearts with courage, knowing that You have overcome the world. May we walk in Your peace today and always. Amen.
