📖 Romans 3:21-26 — But Now…

After everything we’ve read so far about sin and our inability to get things right on our own, Paul suddenly says two powerful words:
✨ “But now…”

We’ve all fallen short. None of us can be good enough, try hard enough or do enough to make ourselves right with God.

But now God has made a way. ❤️

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

And the good news is that our failures don’t have to be the end of the story. Through Jesus, God offers forgiveness, a fresh start and a way back to Him — not because we’ve earned it, but because of His grace. 🙏

This week we get to look at what salvation really means and why Jesus changes everything.

💕 What happens when BSF women gather around a table?

Stories are shared. Hearts are encouraged. God’s goodness is remembered.

We asked two of our BSF ladies what they appreciate about being part of their group:

💬 Maureen:
“I’m encouraged by sharing with the different members of our group, including those who are young in their faith, and seeing how God is working in each of our lives.”

💬 Angeline:
“I appreciate the beauty of God’s creation in the community He gave us.”

These moments of fellowship may seem simple, but they are precious opportunities to connect, encourage one another and celebrate what God is doing among us. 🌸

What a gift to gather, share and enjoy God’s goodness together. 🙏

📖 Romans 3:1-20 — Nobody Gets a Pass

This week's passage culminates with the verdict from the last two lessons. After two chapters laying out humanity's guilt — Jew and Gentile alike — Paul answers the question hanging in the air: "So what's the point of the Law, of being chosen, if we're all guilty anyway?" 🤔

His answer isn't comfortable, but it's the hinge the whole letter turns on:

⚖️ “There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands; there is no one who seeks God.” Romans 3:10-11

The Law was never meant to make us righteous — it was meant to show us we can't make ourselves righteous. And that's exactly what makes grace land the way it does in chapter 3 and beyond. ✨

Come ready to sit with this one. It's not the easiest passage, but it's one of the most important. Looking forward to studying with you tonight! 💛🙏

There’s a quiet challenge waiting for us in this chapter. 🪞 Paul turns from pointing at “them” to holding up a mirror, reminding us that God isn’t impressed by outward religion, but by a heart truly transformed by Him. ❤️

It’s easy to judge in others what we excuse in ourselves. Romans 2 invites us to let go of that double standard and let God search our own hearts first. 🙏

💭 Is there an area where I judge others for what I quietly excuse in myself? 🤔

📖 BSF WEEK 3 — When Sin Becomes Our Normal

What happens when we turn away from God, little by little?

This Monday at Bible Study Fellowship, we’re diving deeper into Romans 1:18–32 and opening our hearts to what God reveals through His Word about sin, the human heart, and our desperate need for Him.

In Romans 1:18–32, Paul gives us a sobering picture of sin-not simply as doing “bad things,” but as rejecting the truth of God and choosing to live life on our own terms.

This passage invites us to pause and ask:

💭 Where am I turning away from God?
🥺 What am I allowing to take His place in my life?

🩷 But the good news is that God has not left us trapped in our sin. His Word exposes our hearts not to condemn us, but to draw us back to Him-to seek Him, surrender to Him, and live in the truth of who He is.

This week, we begin with Romans Chapter 1:1-17— and what a place to start! Paul introduces us to the gospel, the power of God for salvation, and the incredible truth that we are called to live by faith.

💭 Why is it God’s power for salvation?
💭 And what does it look like to live by faith?

✨ Today’s the day! ✨

Our leadership team is ready, our hearts are expectant, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back tonight as we begin our study of Romans.

It’s been a joy preparing and praying for this new year of BSF, and we’re looking forward to seeing familiar faces, celebrating those returning, and warmly welcoming those joining our class for the very first time.

We believe God has something special in store for each of us as we open His Word together. May this be a year of growing deeper in our understanding of His saving grace, strengthening our faith, and experiencing the transforming power of the gospel.

Thank you to our amazing leaders who have faithfully prepared to serve. We are excited to see what God will do in and through our class this year.

The wait is almost over! In just one week, we’ll be gathering again as a BSF class to begin our study of Romans.

Romans: From Guilt to Grace

Get ready to be captivated by one of the most powerful books in the Bible as we journey through God’s unfolding plan of salvation. Together we’ll marvel at His amazing grace, deepen our understanding of the gospel, and be challenged to live transformed lives through the power of Jesus Christ.
