Happy Anniversary of Priestly Ordination, Fr Tom English

We celebrate today the 48th anniversary of the priestly ordination of Fr. Tom English, a priest incardinated into the Diocese of Darwin.

For all these years, Fr. Tom has served faithfully within our Diocese in many different capacities and across a number of parishes. A member of the Neocatechumenal Way, he continues to bring great energy, faith, and generosity to his pastoral ministry.

There are very few people who work harder than Fr. Tom in reaching out to those in need. Whether visiting people in hospitals, nursing homes and prisons, or simply being available to those who need pastoral care, he continues to give generously of himself in service to God and God's people.

We thank God for Fr. Tom, for his 48 years of priestly ministry, and for the remarkable energy and faithfulness with which he continues to serve our diocesan family.

Happy Anniversary of Priestly Ordination Fr Abilio Guterres SDB

We celebrate today the 7th anniversary of the priestly ordination of Fr. Abilio Guterres SDB (Salesians of Don Bosco). Fr. Abilio comes to us from Timor-Leste and is currently ministering at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Palmerston, NT.

We thank God for Fr. Abilio, for his commitment to God and his generous service to God's people in the Palmerston region. He also supports and ministers to the Timorese Catholic community in Darwin, sharing his faith and pastoral care with many.

Fr. Abilio, thank you for your generosity in being here with us and for giving of yourself so willingly in service to our people. We pray that God will continue to bless you in your priestly ministry.
