To all for whom Christmas is a difficult time, for those who have lost someone dear this year and for all who are remembering someone special at this time, a short, reflective service called a "Blue Christmas" is held each year at St. Mary's Anglican Woodend. Be with people who understand, others who would like support and join us to light a candle of hope, peace and love with a wish that joy will return to us for the Christmas season soon.
6:00 pm tonight with the service conducted by Rev Neil J Fitzgerald.

St Mary's has a number of events leading up to Christmas. The family film "The Star" screening at The Norma Richardson Hall on the 14th, and our Community Carols on the 19th in the church gardens.
Blue Christmas is a quiet service of contemplation for those who have lost a loved one recently or those for whom Christmas is a difficult time of year.
Everyone is welcome at our services on Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

Once again St Mary's is hosting the Woodend Community Carols. Friday 19th December in the garden. Everybody is welcome, even Santa is coming. Also the CFA and SES. And there will be sausages! Bring a picnic and be ready to sing you favourite carols.

Dear Woodenders, tonight at St Mary's Anglican Church, at 6pm we will hold the traditional Maundy Thursday service, holy communion, the washing of feet and a vigil. You are invited and will be very welcome to join us. Maundy Thursday marks the Last Supper, Christ's final meal with his friends and is the commencement of the three great days of Easter.
