What a beautiful and joy-filled day for the Church!

Today, Saturday 12 September 2026, Rev Seth Harsh was ordained to the priesthood by Bishop Brian Mascord at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Rosemeadow.

Surrounded by family, friends, clergy, seminarians and the faithful, Fr Seth gave his life in a new way to the service of Christ and his Church. Through the laying on of hands and the prayer of ordination, we witnessed the Lordโ€™s grace at work as a new priest was given to the people of God in the Diocese of Wollongong!

Fr Seth reflected on the many ways Godโ€™s presence, patience, power and providence have been woven through his life and vocation. Today, with grateful hearts, we give thanks for where that providence has led him: โ€œAd altare Deiโ€, To the altar of God.

Please join us in giving thanks to God for Fr Seth, and in praying that his priestly ministry will always draw others into friendship with Jesus and make known the love and mercy of Christ.

We were privileged to be at the Evangelise Conference in North Sydney over the last two days with other leaders in youth ministry from around the country.

It was a blessed time of sharing, deep conversations and prayer as we dived into what our young people are saying to us (through the nation wide listening sessions) and looking ahead to a renewed vision of youth ministry in Australia.

Weโ€™re thankful for this opportunity and excited for whatโ€™s to come in this space for the next few years!
