Alhamdulillah!, In this blessed month of Ramadan, Allah SWT has granted our community the opportunity to purchase a church in Corrimal and convert it into a mosque — and SubhanAllah, it is a great blessing that we have the chance on this sacred 27th night of Ramadan to witness and take part in contributing towards this historic conversion.

Announcement – Eid ul Fitr 2026

As the blessed month of Ramadan comes to a close the end, we would like to share details regarding the celebration of Eid ul Fitr.

🔹 For those following the Australian National Imam Council (ANIC): The ANIC has already announced on Friday that Eid ul Fitr will be on Friday, March 20th, 2026.

🔹 For those following local moon sighting in Australia:

The 29th of Ramadan falls on Friday, March 20th, 2026. The decision to celebrate Eid will depend on the moon sighting in any part of Australia on this day.

If the moon is sighted on Friday, Eid will be on Saturday, March 21st, 2026. Otherwise, on Sunday, March 22nd

📢 We will provide an update on the moon sighting decision on Friday evening inshaAllah. Please stay tuned.

Important Community Announcement

All praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, and peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Dear respected brothers and sisters

Alhamdulillah, I am Blessed and very pleased to share some wonderful news with our community.

Alhamdulillah by the mercy of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, we have purchased a church building here in Corrimal which, Insha’Allah, will soon be established as a new mosque and community centre for the Muslims of our city.

I am truly grateful to Allah SWT for blessing us with such a generous and dedicated community. Over the years, this community has raised multi million dollars to build the new Omar Mosque building. With the help of Allah SWT and your support, in past we have also purchased a church and established Uthman Mosque, which continues to serve muslim community in Shellharbour Area today.

And now, once again, Alhamdulillah, Allah SWT has opened another opportunity for us to establish a new mosque for the people of Illawarra.

We sincerely thank those who generously provided Quard Hasana (interest free loans) to support this purchase, and we pray that Allah SWT rewards them abundantly for their kindness.

We ask Allah سبحانه وتعالى to put barakah in this project, to make it a place of prayer, learning, and unity for generations to come.

Please keep this effort in your duas and continue supporting the houses of Allah.
