Congratulations and a very warm welcome to our RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) candidates Jacinta, Tracy, Chloe and Rebecca who were received into our Catholic Church on Pentecost Sunday through the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Fr. Jophin was the celebrant for this very special occasion.May their faith continue to bloom and grow. We give thanks with grateful hearts for the gifts they will bring to our Parish. Please continue to keep them in your prayers. 🙏🕊🧡❤️💛

Today, Bishop René Ramirez had his first informal gathering with clergy and seminarians from Catholic Diocese of Sandhurst. It was a time of fellowship, conversation and reflection as Bishop René shared about the importance of first inviting the Holy Spirit into our hearts before inviting others into our parishes and communities.

May we continue to be open to the guidance of the Holy Spirit as we journey together in faith. 🙏

Deanery Forums Round 2 – Registration Now Open

Building on the hopes and challenges shared at Round 1, people involved in parish leadership and ministry are warmly invited to the next round of Deanery Forums this June. The focus is on clarity, shared priorities, practical action and visible follow-through.

Promulgation of Resources for Parish Planning

Pentecost Sunday at 11am Mass in Sacred Heart Cathedral Bendigo, Fr Brian Boyle, Diocesan Administrator will promulgate resources to assist parishes in preparing a Parish Mission and Pastoral Plan.

The resources, prepared by the Office of Mission and Pastoral Life, focus on renewal and aim to assist parishes to intentionally plan for a future in line with the Diocesan Strategic Mission and Pastoral Goals.

Online sessions to “unpack” these resources will be held on 3 and 4 June. It is recommended that Parish Leaders participate in one of the four online sessions, in which Geoff Gowdie, Assistant Director of Mission and Pastoral Life will walk participants through the parish planning process and these resources.

World Youth Day 2027 Expressions of Interest Now Open

Sandhurst Youth Ministry (SYM) is now accepting Expressions of Interest for our pilgrimage to WYD Seoul, South Korea, August 2027.
If you feel called to be part of this once-in-a-lifetime journey of faith, community, and encounter and are between the ages of 18 and 35, we invite you to take the first step!
Estimated cost is between $6,200 and $8,500. After subsidies, the estimated cost to individual pilgrims will be $2000 - $3000. Final cost is dependent on multiple factors.

Completing the EOI does not lock you in or guarantee you a spot but assists SYM in the planning of the pilgrimage and will contribute to the final recommendation to Bishop René Ramirez RCJ followed by an official pilgrimage launch in the second half of 2026.
