Beautiful day to paint some new swatches on the old girl - trying to decide 🤔🤗
The roof is nearly finished in beautiful monument ( flashings still to go on hopefully this week) 😊
Recoated the decking top rails and just having a cuppa with my " assistant " as the wind just starts after a totally still day.
Finished just in time 😆

3rd day on job and second coat to go on plus accurate measurements for barge flashings to be taken and then when purchased 👍 hopefully very new year- then the roof will be finished ! Yay 🤗👌🏻can't wait 😁

Keith started yesterday cleaning the little winkleigh church roof and first coat of sealer . Only one coat of black paint was put prior to selling and lots of it was washed off in cleaning process to reveal the red painted roof from beforehand.

Today brodie joins him to work and finish roof: new screws, fixing minor leak and painting roof and decorative facades, finials, bell tower etc.
Aiming to finish painting today - fingers crossed and then barge board flashings will be done asap new years when open.

I have some pictures from a lovely lady Heather Eleveld- I believe these are from the early 70s when they re- painted ...

This week is exciting! Keith from Glass & Grass & house/roof painting services is coming this week to restore and paint the roof which is looking really tired. The old girl is getting a refreshed top hat 💞😆pics to follow ( before and after).
