St Thomas Anglican Parish Winchelsea

St Thomas Anglican Parish Winchelsea St Thomas Parish Winchelsea welcomes all into our community. We especially aim to engage with families and the younger generations.

We are a community with a vision to grow in Christian maturity to become a gracious, healthy, welcoming multi-generational church. We seek to bring the life of Christ, His love, joy and hope into our rural community today in the power of the Holy Spirit by prayer, word and action. We define church health as being a Church that "Glows" this acronym borrowed from the English Bishop Sandy Miller stan

ds for Generous, Loving, Obedient, Worshipful and Serving both God and our communities. Our mission statement is "to know Christ and his resurrection life," in which faith we find hope for the future. We seek to share the love of God, seen in his Son Jesus Christ with people of all generations. We come together to worship God, to encourage each other and be challenged by his Word and we share God’s love through a variety of ministries to the church and wider community. We welcome visitors, love crying babies, curious children and welcoming newcomers into our congregation. At present our acting minister is the Reverend Lynne Clarke who lives in Geelong and is enjoying getting to know the community of Winchelsea. Lynne was among one of the first women to be ordained in the Anglican church back in 1992.

Today is Thankful Thursday! Please share with us where you feel close to the Lord. Is it in your garden watching his creation bloom and grow, perhaps at the beach and listening to the roar of the ocean.

It has been a journey but we have managed to get the overhead projector to work with the computer! Praise the Lord!
