Father of the year, Rev. Hagop Sarkissian.
Սիտնիի Հայաստանեայց Աւետարանական Եկեղեցիի Հոգաբարձութեան, Խնամակալութեան եւ Տիկնանց Մարմիններուն անունով կը յայտնենք մեր սրտագին շնորհակալութիւնն ու խոր երախտագիտութիւնը Վեր. Յակոբ Սարգիսեանին՝ Տիպար Հայր ընտրուելուն այս ուրախ եւ պատուաբեր առիթով։ «Ապրի՛ս, բարի՛ եւ հաւատարի՛մ ծառայ…» (Մատթ. 25:23) խօսքը ճշգրտօրէն կը նկարագրէ ձեր 16 տարիներու հաւատարիմ, անսակարկ եւ Աստուածահաճոյ ծառայութիւնը մեր եկեղեցիին մէջ։ Այս տարիներուն դուք մատուցեցիք բծախնդրութեամբ, աղօթքով եւ հոգեւոր խորքով պատրաստուած քարոզներ ու Աստուածաշունչի սերտողութիւններ, որոնք դարձան զօրութեան, արթնութեան եւ հաւատքի աճումի աղբիւր մեր մեծ ընտանիքի համար։ Դուք եղաք մեր եկեղեցւոյ խարիսխը՝ միշտ մեզի հետ, մեր ուրախութիւններուն եւ մարտահրաւէրներուն, մեր ցաւերուն, հիւանդութիւններուն եւ կորուստներուն մէջ, ներկայ ձեր աղօթքով, քաջալերանքով, խրախուսական եւ մխիթարական խօսքերով, որոնք ամրացուցին ու զորացուցին մեր ընտանիքները։

On behalf of the Church Council, the Board of Trustees, and the Ladies' Auxiliary of the Armenian Evangelical Church of Sydney, we express our heartfelt thanks and deep gratitude to Rev. Hagop Sarkissian on this joyful and honourable occasion of his selection as the Father of the Year 2026.

"Well done, good and faithful servant…" (Matt. 25:23) accurately describes your 16 years of faithful, selfless, and God-pleasing service in our church. During these years, you delivered sermons and Bible studies prepared with painstaking care, prayer, and spiritual depth, which became a source of strength, awakening, and growth in faith for our extended family. You were the anchor of our church—always with us through our joys and challenges, our pain, illness, and loss, present with your prayers, encouragement, and uplifting, comforting words that fortified and strengthened our families.
