📚 Theology Thursday: What Is Atonement? (Jesus’ Sacrifice Explained)
📖 Atonement = Making things right between us and God.

We were separated from God by sin, but Jesus stepped in. He took the penalty on Himself so we could be forgiven and restored (Romans 3:25).

💡 Imagine you're in court, guilty of a serious crime. The judge declares the sentence—then steps down, takes off his robe, and says, “I’ll take your place.”

That’s what Jesus did. Justice was served, but mercy triumphed. He bore our penalty to bring us back to God.

🙌 Through Jesus, we are made right with God.

💬 What does His sacrifice mean to you? Let us know below.

⏳ Two-Minute Devotion Tuesday: Finding Joy in God, Even in Hard Times
📖 Habakkuk 3:17–19

Habakkuk was surrounded by loss—crops failed, livestock were gone, and nothing seemed to be going right. But his response? “Yet I will rejoice in the Lord.”

Joy in God isn’t based on life going smoothly. It’s based on who God is—faithful, strong, and always present.

🔥 Challenge: Take a moment today to name something you’re thankful for—even in the middle of a hard season. Gratitude grows joy.

🙏 Prayer: Lord, even in tough times, I will choose to rejoice in You. Help me find my joy in Your faithfulness. Amen.

📖 Memory Verse Monday
Habakkuk 3:17–19
"Though the fig tree does not bud… yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign Lord is my strength..."

Even when everything falls apart, God is still worthy of praise.

Real joy isn’t about everything going right—it’s about knowing the One who never changes.

📚 Theology Thursday: What Does “Amen” Actually Mean?
📖 We say it all the time—but do we know what it means?

“Amen” is more than just the end of a prayer. It’s a declaration of faith and agreement:
✔️ It means “Truly” or “So be it”
✔️ Jesus used it to emphasize truth (John 3:3)
✔️ It’s saying “Yes—I believe this is true!”

💡 So next time you say "Amen," remember—you're not just finishing a sentence, you're agreeing with God’s truth.

💬 Drop an “Amen” in the comments if you believe! 🙏

⏳ Two-Minute Devotion Tuesday: God Desires Mercy, Not Sacrifice
📖 Hosea 6:6

In the Old Testament, people brought sacrifices to show their devotion—but God made it clear: what He really wants is mercy and relationship.

He’s not after religious checklists. He’s after hearts that show compassion, forgiveness, and love. When we truly know God, it changes how we treat others.

🔥 Challenge: Find a moment today to show mercy to someone—whether they “deserve” it or not. That’s what God does for us.

🙏 Prayer: God, thank You for Your mercy. Help me live with a heart full of love and compassion toward others. Amen.

📖 Memory Verse Monday
Hosea 6:6
"For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings."

God cares more about our hearts than our habits. He wants mercy, not performance—real love, not empty actions.

This week, ask yourself: Am I going through the motions, or truly living for Him?

📚 Theology Thursday: Most Misunderstood Verses
📖 Ever heard a verse used way out of context?

Here are a few popular ones:
1️⃣ Philippians 4:13 – It’s not about acing a test. It’s about being content no matter the situation.
2️⃣ Jeremiah 29:11 – It was written to exiled Israel—not a blanket promise of comfort.
3️⃣ Matthew 7:1 – “Do not judge” doesn’t mean never speak truth—it’s about judging rightly and lovingly.

💡 God’s Word is powerful when we read it in context.

💬 Have you ever heard a verse misquoted or misunderstood? Let us know!
