Happy Fathers Day to those who are fathers.

We would love to see you at church today.

For we are the temple of the living God.
As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.”
Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.”
And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:16-18

We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:20-21

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us." 2 Corinthians 4:7

Have you ever considered the gospel to be a precious treasure?
Do you feel weak and inadequate to share it with the world?
What if that is helpful, rather than a problem?

Join us for church as we consider this today

Glorious -fantastic and very good... that is how the Lord is described, AND how our transformation into his likeness is described.
"we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory" 2 Corinthians 3:18. Join us for church today as we are reminded how wonderful it is to know God and be in relationship with Him.

14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere. 15 For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? 2 Corinthians 2

"Praise be to the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
the Father of compassion
and the God of all comfort,
who comforts us in all our troubles,
so that we can comfort those
in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves
receive from God."

This term we are looking at 2 Corinthians.

When things do not go according to our plan and desires, when problems, doubts, and fears grow... how do we respond?
In Mark 14:36 we read the confronting words: "Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will."
As Jesus heads to the cross, he knows the pain and sadness that lie ahead, but he continues to ask for the Father's will to be done. Can you pray that way?
For us, it is winter, many people have colds and coughs, perhaps there are other challenges and things that can make people feel miserable -then this is a passage you need to listen to.
