St Francis Table is one of the charities associated with St Laurence's College - official and our representatives were honoured to join the college community for the Solidarity Mass this morning before the boys and staff journeyed off for their walkathon.

The boys were pumped after listening to Fr Will rap during his homily, he had everyone in awe. We then joined other special guests for morning tea before seeing the boys embark on their journey. Fr Will had the honour of blowing the first horn but ran into technical issues.

Grandparents play a pivotal role in our lives and we were delighted to throw a special celebration to honour them at St Francis Table today.

We called for some assistance from our friends at St Ita's Catholic Primary School Dutton Park. They happily arranged for seven of their Year 6 students together with Mrs Little to join us for a couple of hours. As they arrived, we settled the children with morning tea as the members from the Indonesian Community welcomed them with a song. The children eagerly displayed their chicken dance skills and sang us multiple songs. The team also came bearing handmade cards by the Year 6 students for our guests which brought much joy. The students were phenomenal engaging in conversation with our attendees. They were fantastic with helping the attendees carrying their lunch plates and settling them in. Time flew relatively quickly as the children had to head back to school after lunch and dessert.

We were extremely delighted with how the day went and how enjoyable it was for all who attended. Without hesitation, we provided the well deserved positive feedback to the school with regards as to how exceptional these children were. Deepest gratitude to the staff of St Ita's who made this possible especially Stephanie Lovat (APRE). We look forward to welcoming the children back for our Christmas celebrations. Thank you to all the volunteers who worked hard making Grandparents Day such an amazing celebration.

Peace be with you all on the Feast of Corpus Christi. Good Shepherd Parish - South Brisbane, West End Parishioners joined in the procession to commemorate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, a liturgical solemnity celebrating the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
