Holy Trinity Wentworth Falls

Holy Trinity is a lively church community in the upper blue mountains. We meet on Sundays at 8:30am, 10:30am and 5pm.

The 8:30 service is live-streamed each week at https://www.youtube.com/ Holy Trinity has church gatherings every Sunday at 8:20am (traditional), 10:30am (family) and 5pm (modern). We have been serving the Wentworth Falls community for over 100 years, sharing the good news of Jesus in our public events, making young disciples through ministries to children, and gathering weekly to grow in our faith and witness.

The cross of Christ is obviously the symbol of the Christian faith. Together with the resurrection, the cross forms the centrepiece of the Christian message to the world around us. But what do these events actually mean? One way to look at it is through the lens of ‘victory’. That is on the cross, Jesus triumphs over the powers of darkness for us.

Even though it looks like defeat - even though Jesus is rejected, betrayed, denied, deserted and ultimately executed on the cross, this is the moment of his great victory. What looks like the defeat of goodness by evil, turns out instead to be the defeat of evil by goodness. This is why Easter is worth celebrating every year!

We are launching something new this week!

It’s a 5 week course called Discover which is designed for people who want to know more about the Christian faith.

The aim of Discover is to help you strip away the noise, the confusion, and the controversy, and get the essential truths about Jesus from the most reliable source we have: Jesus himself. Our hope is to help you understand for yourself who Jesus is, what he says, and what he does.

The course will run over 5 Thursday nights starting 7pm this Thursday, February 12 at Holy Trinity (17 Armstrong St. Wentworth Falls).

Each session of Discover has a short talk that we’ll watch together. The talks are given by Dave Jensen, and they go for roughly 30 minutes, with a break in the middle for discussion at tables, and then more time at the end for both discussion and asking questions. We expect to be all done by around 8:30pm.

It will be a relaxed casual atmosphere, and supper will be provided. It’s completely free and we’d love people to register via our website.

Playtime is Back!

We’re so excited to welcome families back to Playtime starting:

🗓 Thursday, 5 February

⏰ 10:00–11:30am

📍 Holy Trinity Church Hall, 17 Armstrong Street, Wentworth Falls (on-site and street parking available) – enter via the playground

We will meet every Thursday during school term.

Playtime is a relaxed, welcoming space for little ones to explore, play and connect with one another.

Each session follows a chosen theme incorporating music & movement, group & independent activities, craft, story time and outdoor play.

No pressure, no rush – just time for kids to be kids and for parents to relax and connect too. (Plus we’ll have barista coffee/decaf too!)

Discover is a five-week series designed to help you—discover truth; discover hope; discover life—by learning more about Jesus. This is a great course for those who are new to the Christian faith, or exploring the Christian faith.

We hope you can join us for our Christmas services at Holy Trinity: Christmas Eve 5pm and Christmas Day 9am.

Both services will also be live-streamed on our Youtube channel. Christmas is always one of the highlights of our year at church and it’s a great opportunity to bring along family and friends, young and old to share in the joy!
