On the Memorial of St Clare of Assisi, we remember a life of deep faith, simplicity and devotion to Christ 🕊️

Born in Assisi in 1194, St Clare was inspired by St Francis of Assisi to leave behind a life of comfort and dedicate herself completely to Christ. With the support of St Francis, Clare went on to establish the community that became known as the Poor Clares, embracing a life of prayer, simplicity and service.

St Clare’s deep faith and trust in God continue to inspire us more than 800 years later.

May her example encourage us to seek Christ in our everyday lives and to carry His light to those around us.
