This morning's Mass and morning tea celebration brought together two very special moments in the life of our Parish — the 50th Anniversary of our church building and the Inscription Mass for our 2026 Confirmation candidates. What a wonderful symbol of who we are as a faith community: honouring those who have gone before us while embracing the next generation who will help shape our future.
For fifty years, this church has been far more than a building. It has been a place of prayer, celebration, comfort, friendship and faith. It has witnessed baptisms, weddings, funerals and countless moments that have shaped the lives of our parish family. Today, we give thanks for the vision, generosity and commitment of those who built this church and nurtured our community over the decades.
Thank-you to all who came today to enjoy the hospitality, reconnect with friends old and new, and took some time to follow the blue ribbon display, which told the story of the innovative design of our church and the many people whose dedication brought it to life.
Each of us is part of this story. Whether you have been here for fifty years or five months, your presence helps shape the future of our Parish. Today was a time to celebrate our shared history, cherish our memories, and renew our hope and enthusiasm for the generations still to come.
