❤️ Special thankyou to Rotary Club of Warragul for their generous donation of x20 Japanese Maple Acer Trees.

🌳 These trees have been planted in the area that the Rotary grew Christmas Trees in for many years at Gulwarra Heights Memorial Park. 🌲✨️

❤️ This is to remember and mark a special "Rotary Way Avenue" for the local community.

🌳 You'll see these trees grow and flourish over the years to come, creating a beautiful and colour avenue in the Memorial Park.

💛 We're feeling very thankyou to the West Gippsland Bee Keepers Club Members for their recent donation.

✨️ With this donation we were able to work alongside Rowe's Nursery to purchase around 40 bee friendly plants and trees.

🌾 These plants are currently being planted throughout the grounds of Gulwarra Heights Memorial Park.

🌿 Rowes Nursery was kind enough to look after us on price, but also help guide us in the right direction for species that suit this local area.

🐝 With the help and expertise from the West Gippsland Bee Keepers we were able to incorporate the needs of the local community and the local bees here.

🌾 Keep an eye out for these new plants and pops of colour around the Memorial Park.

🌧 Did you know its normal for the soil on a grave to sink, especially in the first 12 months after the burial??

🌧 When we have large down pours of rain - like we have had recently, it can make them sink a little quicker. When this happens you may notice the soil looks quite sunken.

🚜 Please be assured our team will top up the impacted graves with more soil when suitable.

🎉 Wishing Norma Wilson a very HAPPY 100th BIRTHDAY!!

🎈 Norma has spent many years with the Warragul Cemetery Trust and the Friends of the Cemetery.
🎉 Over the years Norma has served many roles from doing administration, to gardening and is a very valued memeber with us.

Warragul resident Norma Wilson celebrated her 100th birthday at Warragul Uniting Church on Saturday, with close to 100 family and friends. 🎂

Before the celebration, a friend played some of Norma's favourite pieces at an organ recital at Wesley of Warragul.

Norma was born at Bendigo Hospital on August 21, 1926, to Walter and Marion Okey. Her father worked for the railways and the family moved to Oakleigh when Norma was 18 months old.
