Father’s Day at Warnbro... this Sunday!

This Sunday we’re celebrating dads, grandads and the father figures who have shaped our lives, while recognising that Father’s Day can be a complicated day for some too.

There’ll be:

Free coffee for Dad

Free sausage sizzle

A special story of God’s grace across three generations of one family

Father’s Day fun and plenty more

And in our Behold Your God series, we’re in Isaiah 40... one of the most beautiful promises of comfort in all of literature.

Come and discover the God who meets us when we’re worn out, lifts the weary and gives strength to those who feel like they’ve got nothing left.

This Sunday we’re celebrating Father’s Day, taking time to honour the dads and father figures who have shaped our lives, while also recognising that Father’s Day can be a tricky or painful day for some. We want to make space for all of that as we give thanks for the gift of godly fatherhood.

GLOBAL WEEK OF PRAYER | 6-13 SEPTEMBER

From 6-13 September, we're joining churches around the world for the Global Week of Prayer with 24-7 Prayer.
We're setting aside a week to seek God together... to worship, intercede and ask God to move in our church, our community and our world.

There are a few ways you can get involved:

PRAY IN THE PRAYER ROOM
Book a one-hour prayer slot in our Prayer Room, opposite reception. It will be open 6am-4pm, Monday-Friday, and we're hoping to fill the week with people praying.

PRAY FOR ROCKINGHAM
Join us for Pray for Rockingham, Tuesday 8 September, 7-8:30pm at Warnbro Community Church. We'll worship and pray together for our city. Bring someone with you.

PRAY WITH YOUTH
Friday Night Youth will be dedicating their evening to creative prayer, giving our young people space to seek God together.

PRAY WHEREVER YOU ARE
You don't have to be in the Prayer Room to take part. Set aside some time at home, with your Life Group, with your family, on your commute... wherever you are, stop and pray.

Our hope is that this isn't simply a week of prayer, but another step towards becoming a church where prayer is simply part of who we are.

So make some space. Book a prayer slot. Come and pray for Rockingham. Gather with others. Pray wherever you are.

It was a privilege to pray for Nepal and Tibet on Sunday, and we're so grateful that our mission partners, OM, are on the ground in Nepal serving and helping in the aftermath of this devastating flooding.

Please continue to pray for the people of Nepal, for those who are grieving and suffering, and for the OM team as they seek to bring practical help and the love of Jesus.

GLOBAL WEEK OF PRAYER | 6-13 SEPTEMBER

From 6-13 September, we're joining churches around the world for the Global Week of Prayer with 24-7 Prayer.

We're praying for our church, our city, those who don't yet know Jesus and our world. We're asking God to move, speak, transform lives and have his way among us.

We're hoping to pray 24-7 throughout the week, with one-hour prayer slots where you are, or in our Prayer Room, Monday-Friday, 6am-4pm.
