Palm Sunday Peace Rally. 29 March 2026
We had a great gathering on Palm Sunday at King George Park Wangaratta. Over 60 people gathered and marched together including two motor wheelchairs and two strollers.
May God hear our prayers and help us as we sang “Hosannah” which means ‘Save Now’

Here is the Ash Wednesday Prayer

Ash Wednesday Prayer by Rev Dr Apwee Ting

Lord,
we come before You
with ashes upon our foreheads,
a sign of our fragility,
a reminder of our mortal breath.

Ash Wednesday calls us
to remember who we are before You
and among all creation.
We are dust
not to be shamed,
but to be awakened
to humility and truth.

This day speaks of a broken world:
fractured relationships,
a wounded earth,
and human hearts torn apart
by division,
self-interest, and greed.

At the threshold of Lent,
reorient our lives
toward what truly matters:
love that heals,
faith that sustains,
and hope that endures.

Teach us to feel
the suffering of others,
to hear the cries of creation,
and to live in solidarity
with those who are weak,
forgotten, and hurting.

Ash Wednesday invites us
to pray and to worship,
to be still and listen
to the gentle voice
of Christ’s grace
amid a restless and fragile world.

Move us beyond words and rituals
into lives of action
sharing, caring,
and building goodness
for all creation.

Receive us as we enter this sacred season,
not with spiritual pride,
but with broken hearts
ready to be renewed.

Amen.
