FATHERHOOD: TAKE YOUR PLACE 👊

This Father’s Day, Pastor Brendan reminded us that fatherhood is more than a title, it’s a calling.

God has entrusted fathers with the responsibility to lead, love, teach, pray and model what it looks like to follow Him.

A father’s presence matters.
His words matter.
His example matters.
His consistency matters.

The call is to be:

👊 **A Prophet** — speaking truth, identity and life.
🙏 **A Priest** — praying for and leading your family towards God.
🛡️ **A King** — leading with responsibility, strength and service.

And for every father who feels like they haven't got it right, there is grace. Failure isn't the end. There is always an opportunity to apologise, re-engage and choose a different direction.

Because when fathers take their place, families become stronger, communities become healthier, and generations are impacted.

Don’t just carry the title. Carry the responsibility.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandads, stepdads, spiritual fathers and men who choose to invest in the next generation. ❤️

**THE GENEROUS LIFE 💛**

This Sunday, Pastor Brendan reminded us that lasting joy is found in Christ, and it grows through contentment and generosity.

We live in a world that constantly tells us we need more. A bigger upgrade. A better experience. The next thing.

But Paul shows us a different way:

Contentment says, “I trust God with today while believing Him for tomorrow.”

And generosity takes that trust one step further.

When we live open-handed, we stop asking, “What can I get?” and start asking, “What can God do through me?”

Generosity isn't about manipulating God or buying blessing. It's about trusting the God who gave first.

Because the truth is simple:

You can never outgive God.

💭 What has God given you?
💭 What is He asking you to release?
💭 What could God do through your YES?

Let's be a church that lives open-handed, trusting God with what we have and believing Him for what He can do through it.

🌎❤️ WHAT A SUNDAY AT TOGETHER CHURCH! ❤️🌎

What a beautiful day of *faith, food, fun and community* at our Around the World Family Fun Day! 🎉

We loved celebrating the incredible cultures and countries that make up our Together Church family. From dressing up and sharing our cultural heritage, to enjoying food from around the world, there was so much to celebrate! 🌍

🍽️ We shared an incredible spread of Indian, Filipino, South African, African and Thai food
🎈 The kids had plenty of fun with games, activities and the jumping castle
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Families and friends came together
🌎 And we got to celebrate the beautiful diversity of our church family

It was such a special reminder that while we may come from different places, backgrounds and cultures, *Jesus brings us together as one family.* ❤️

We were also encouraged by Pastor Bobby’s message, The Happiness Upgrade: Habits of Happiness, reminding us that Jesus didn’t come simply to make our old life a little better. He came to give us a *completely new life*.

As we follow Jesus, we get to build habits that help us live that new life every day:

✨ Live from grace, not for approval
✨ Choose eternal over temporary
✨ Make time to know Jesus
✨ Invite God to shape you
✨ Release the past and pursue the future

What a weekend! 🌎🙌

Thank you to everyone who brought food, dressed up, served, invited friends, helped with activities and made the day so special.

**HAPPINESS UPGRADE // WEEK 5**
**JOY ISN’T RANDOM**

We’re all looking for happiness, but what if joy isn’t something we simply *find*?

This Sunday, Pastor Brendan reminded us that you don’t drift into joy, you develop it.

Paul had every reason to lose his joy. He faced pressure, pain and even prison. Yet his joy remained because it wasn't tied to his circumstances, it was tied to his **Saviour**.

Success can fill your schedule, but it can't fill your soul.

Achievement can't give you lasting joy.
Approval can't give you lasting joy.
Comfort can't give you lasting joy.
Even religion can't replace relationship with Jesus.

Paul's prayer was simple:

**"I want to know Christ."** — Philippians 3:10

Because, joy is not found in what you achieve, but in who you know.

So this week, what are you valuing most?

If Christ is your source, joy can be your outcome in every season, in every circumstance.

Let's keep pursuing Jesus, knowing Him deeper, and discovering the joy that comes from having Him at the centre. ❤️

❤️ **A HEALTHY HEART = A HAPPY HEART**

This Sunday, Pastor Mel reminded us that what happens **inside us** matters.

Proverbs 4:23 says:

*"Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life."*

Our heart shapes our words, our attitudes, our choices and ultimately the direction of our lives.

In Philippians 2, Paul challenges us to **do everything without grumbling or arguing**, to hold firmly to the Word of life, and to shine like stars in a dark world.

Because a healthy heart doesn't just change how we feel, **it changes how we live.**

We looked at Daniel, who chose to guard his heart and remain faithful to God even when the culture around him was pulling him in a different direction.

And that's the challenge for us:

✨ Guard your heart.
✨ Watch what you're allowing in.
✨ Hold firmly to God's Word.
✨ Let God search your heart and shape what's within you.
✨ Choose gratitude over grumbling.
✨ Choose peace over bitterness.
✨ Choose obedience over compromise.

*What's happening in your heart today?*

"Search me, God, and know my heart... See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." — Psalm 139:23–24

When God has our heart, we can have a joy that isn't dependent on our circumstances.

Healthy heart. Happy heart. ❤️

**What if the thing holding you back isn't what you lack... but what you think you're owed?**

Our culture constantly tells us, *"Fight for what you deserve."*

But Jesus shows us a different way.

Although He had every right to claim His position, Jesus chose humility over entitlement. He didn't demand what He deserved, He trusted His Father.

That challenges us to ask:

Are we demanding... or are we trusting?

Instead of saying:
❌ "I deserve better."
❌ "I deserve recognition."
❌ "I deserve more."

What if we chose to say:
🙏 "God, I trust You with my future."
🙏 "I trust Your timing."
🙏 "I trust that You know what I need."

Demanding creates resistance.

Trusting God creates peace.

*"Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage."* — Philippians 2:6

This week, let's lay down entitlement, choose grace, and trust the One who knows exactly what we need.

**You don't get your needs met by demanding, you get them met by trusting God.**
