🇦🇺 The Australian Census is this Tuesday, 11 August!

When completing the Census, you’ll come across the optional Religion question (Question 24).

The Australian Christian Churches (ACC) is encouraging those who identify as Pentecostal to:

👉 Answer the Religion question
👉 Select “Other”
👉 Write “Pentecostal”

Writing “Pentecostal” helps ensure those who identify with Pentecostal churches are counted consistently in Census data and contributes to a more accurate picture of Australia’s religious landscape.

🎥 We’ve included a short video from ACC in the comments explaining this recommendation and why it matters.

What a great Sunday we had unpacking Romans 7 with Garth 🙌 Such a good reminder, knowing what’s right isn’t the same as having the power to do it. Paul’s cry “who will deliver me?” is one we all know deep down, and it points us straight back to our daily need for Christ’s grace and strength to actually live it out.

This Sunday we’re in Romans 8, flowing beautifully from everything we talked about around the tables. Come expectant to see God move this Sunday!
Bring a plate to share for second half.

Hope to see you there đź’› 9:30am for coffee and prayer, 10am start.

A Lens of Love — Romans 6 ✝️
This Sunday, Erin took us through Romans 6 and reminded us of something powerful: our old self died, and it has no power over us anymore.

Through Jesus, we’ve been raised to freedom. We’ve left the slave kingdom of sin behind and are alive in the Kingdom of Heaven, completely dead to sin, alive to the Spirit, citizens of a new home.
Sin speaks a dead language. But God speaks your mother tongue.

So here’s the question worth sitting with this week: What would change if you started living like you were free?

We also had such a fun Soup Sunday! Thanks to everyone who brought a soup to share, it wouldn’t have been the same without you.
We can’t wait to see you sometime this week, whether that’s in Connect Groups, at the Op Shop, at GC Youth on Friday night, or at church on Sunday morning. 💛

We can’t wait to see you this Sunday! Come along and hear from Ps Luke as he shares the heart around our Faith Offering for this year, such a special time, and we’d love for you to be there. Make sure you check out the newsletter for more details.

And it’s Soup Sunday this week too! Let Ps Tash know if you’re able to help out and make a soup 🍲 🙌

We had such a great Sunday morning together. Matty Lieschke led us so beautifully through Romans 5, and it left us with a question worth carrying into the week, what does it actually look like to have peace with God? Not peace that depends on our circumstances, but peace because we’ve already been made right with Him. And out of that peace comes a hope that doesn’t disappoint us, because it’s anchored in a love that’s already been poured out for us.

We also got to hear some of our youth students share some amazing testimonies of what God did at youth camp these holidays, lets be continuing to pray for our youth that what was planted in them at camp would produce lasting fruit in their lives!

We’d genuinely love to see you this week, whether that’s the op shop, young adults, a connect group, or Sunday morning with us. There’s always something going on and we’d love you to be part of it. Reach out if you want more info on joining a connect group 💛

Made Right by Faith 🙌
Sunday, Ps Tash took us through Romans 4 — righteousness isn’t earned, it’s a gift received by faith.

Abraham believed God even when the promise seemed impossible. His faith didn’t weaken with the odds, it grew stronger, because he was fully convinced God could do what He promised.

And that promise? It’s for everyone who believes. Through Jesus, we’re welcomed into God’s family and made right with Him by grace through faith.

Be encouraged today: trust the God who brings life where there seems to be none. He’s faithful to every promise. 🔥

This Sunday: We continue in Romans 5 around tables for All In Week, youth camp testimonies, GC Kids joining us, worship, corporate prayer, and a treat to share for second half. Come ready!

What a special Sunday with Ps Steve Farr and his wife Beck from Prison Fellowship Australia, sharing about loving and serving families impacted by incarceration. Ps Steve’s message hit home: the gospel is “one beggar showing another beggar where to find bread” good news for anyone who recognises their own spiritual poverty. Discipleship is a two-sided coin: humbling ourselves before God, then generously making Him known. As St Francis said, “preach the gospel at all times, and if necessary use words.”

This Sunday is a Go Week, we’ll watch the livestream from Ps Caleb with discussion after. School holidays mean GC Kids join the gathering, so bring something extra for them if needed.

Let’s keep praying for and checking in on one another. “Do not worry about anything, INSTEAD, pray about everything. Tell God what you need and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians 4:6

This Sunday, we are honoured to welcome Steve Farr from Prison Fellowship Australia to Generocity Church Wagga. Steve carries a heart for the forgotten and the marginalised, and we believe this is going to be a really special morning. Come expectant. 🙌

Come at 9:30am for prayer and coffee, a beautiful way to ease into the day together before we kick off at 10am.

And for our families, it’s GC Kids Friends Week! What a perfect Sunday to bring someone along. Encourage your kids to invite a friend and make some memories. 🎉

We would absolutely love to see you there this Sunday. Come as you are. ✝️
