Sunday was such a great morning together.
Ps Luke kicked off our Romans series, Romans: The God Given Gospel, and we started right where Paul starts: with an honest look at the human condition.

We all make exchanges. Every single one of us. Approval. Control. Comfort. Things that feel more real and more immediate than God in the moment, but quietly leave us emptier than when we started.

Paul doesn’t write this to shame us. He holds up a mirror so we can finally see clearly, and reach for something better. Because here’s the hope woven all the way through Romans: grace is available. Justification. Liberation. Transformation. Unity. That’s the arc. That’s where this is heading.

Week 1 of 12. We are just getting started and we cannot wait to keep going with you. 🙌

The Tower or the House. On Sunday, Ps Tash preached a powerful word from Genesis 11 & Acts 2.

Babel and Pentecost tell two very different stories about what community can become.

The builders at Babel were capable, unified, and entirely self-reliant. No dependence on God. Just human effort driven by a quiet fear of being unknown. It looked like strength. It was actually a tower with their own name on it.

Pentecost looked nothing like that. A hundred and twenty people waiting, remaining, and when heaven moved, individual flames settled on each one. What followed wasn’t programmed or planned. It was the natural overflow of people staying connected to the vine.

The question is personal: are you remaining in Him, or building in your own strength? Are you receiving your identity from the Father, or still constructing one?

We’re not here to build a tower to our own name. We’re here to be a house God fills. 🔥

We’d love to see you somewhere this week. At Connect Groups, at Youth, in the Op Shop, or at church Sunday morning. Come at 9:30 for coffee and prayer, and we’ll kick off at 10am. See you there! ☕

This Pentecost Sunday we gathered with one invitation: open up and lean in as we worshipped, prayed and stood in one accord.
Open hearts. Open minds. Open posture. We asked God to draw us to Himself, and He was faithful to meet us. Because that is who He is: a God who delights in meeting with His people, who wants to heal, who wants to speak, who wants to lean in close.

As we read about Pentecost in Acts 2:1-21, the fire of God was never meant to be contained to one place or one moment. It landed on everyone who believed. That same Spirit lives in us, and there is no condemnation standing between us and Him, only freedom.

So what stops us from opening up? What keeps us at arm’s length from the One who is already leaning toward us? This service was a moment to honestly ask that question and to lay down whatever the answer might be.

We believe something prophetic is stirring in this church. God is reviving hearts. The still small voice is speaking. The question is whether we are positioned to hear it. This is our season. Discern it. Lean in.

❤️ VOLUNTEERS WEEK ❤️

This week, we celebrate the incredible people who make so much happen across the life of our church. From Sundays to midweek moments, behind the scenes to the forefront — every volunteer plays such a valuable part in building our community.
We are so thankful for the people who continually serve with generosity, consistency and heart. People who love God, love people, and faithfully show up week after week to make a difference in the lives of others.

While there are far too many people to name individually, please know this:
We appreciate you, we value you, and we are so incredibly grateful for everything you do. ❤️

What a beautiful Sunday morning we had. Ps Luke brought a word from Psalm 46:10 that was so freeing “Be still and know that I am God.”

The “be still” doesn’t mean try harder or hold it together. It means let go. And there’s so much freedom in that!

What is something you’re holding onto that you need to let go of and give to God today?

Sunday felt special. Celebrating mothers and the women who carry so much, what an honour. And having Ps Sam speak into our community was such a gift. His encouragement to be people of kingdom influence is one we’re still sitting with.

We hope you can join us somewhere this week, whether that’s in the op shop, at connect groups, at youth or young adults, or with us on Sunday morning. There’s always a place for you.

See you soon. 💛

Thank you for the love you pour out every single day. You are seen. You are valued. You are deeply loved.

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Generocity Church.

El Roi, The God Who Sees Me. In Genesis 16, a pregnant slave girl named Hagar runs into the desert, invisible, discarded, completely alone. And God finds her there. Not the powerful. Not the important. Her.

She becomes the only person in Scripture to give God a name: El Roi, the God who sees me. But the story doesn’t stop there. Hagar looked back into His face and that changed everything. God didn’t give her an exit or a rescue. He sent her back into the exact same situation. Not defeated but sent. She named the spring Beer Lahai Roi, the well of the Living One who sees me. Every person who drew water there after her was drinking from the place where God and a forgotten woman once looked at each other.

As a church, that’s what we want to be, not just a place where people are noticed, but where they are truly seen. Seen by God. Seen by each other. And sent back into their lives carrying something the situation cannot take from them.

Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is slow down and sit. This Sunday, we dove into Luke 10, the story of Mary and Martha. Two women who loved Jesus, both doing something for him. But one was anxious and troubled, serving from empty. The other chose the better portion, just being with him, and Jesus said that’s the one thing that lasts.

It’s a gentle reminder that our doing flows best from our being. That the feet of Jesus aren’t just a starting point, they’re home base.

We hope to see you somewhere this week. Whether that’s a connect group, the Op Shop, or joining us Sunday morning, you’re welcome here.

This Sunday we’re excited and expectant to hear from Ps Tash, and what the Lord has been placing on her heart to share with us. Come at 9.30am for prayer and coffee for a 10am start.
