Wonderful to have Kelly and Clive from Embracing Ministries with us over the weekend. SWAC is a place for all people because Jesus invites us all to experience his love, mercy and forgiveness. Those who society might consider 'weak' amongst us are a vital part of the community and in fact all people are given the same dignity and value in the Kingdom of God. And so we are on a journey of making SWAC more accessible to folks who require support to fully participate and find belonging in the body of Christ.

Generation Youth are holding their annual bake sale to raise funds for our Youth camp, CYCC. The youth team are looking for people to bake goods for them to sell and are inviting you all to come along and buy those goodies on Sunday 6th September.
If you can bring something cooked, please let us know by one of our sign up sheets at either St Paul's or St Alban's, calling the office or speaking to one of the team!

Well done Dr Ruth!!

✨Congratulations to Dr Ruth Pape on her recent PhD achievement! ✨

Dr. Ruth Pape is a senior lecturer in medical imaging science at the University of Papua New Guinea (PNG). Dr Pape has achieved extensive success in the field of medical imaging focussing on breast cancer detection through improved mammographic image quality and testing practices.

Her PhD journey has been marked by outstanding accomplishments. Dr. Pape has been invited to present her PhD findings at the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) and the New Zealand Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NZSMIRT), published her research in the Q1 Radiography Journal (United Kingdom) and the Innovative Practices in
Breast Health Journal (France), and during the same period she represented Charles Sturt University (CSU) at the Women’s Agenda Leadership Awards in Melbourne.

Dr Pape was a resident at St Martins College from 2022–2023, where she enjoyed meeting and building friendships with students from Australia and around the world.

Her journey is a wonderful example of what can be achieved through hard work, perseverance, resilience and commitment. These virtues strengthened her faith in God Almighty, "who is the Giver of all good things to those who earnestly wait on Him."

As she celebrates this significant milestone, Dr Pape encourages new CSU students seeking residential accommodation to consider St Martins College — a place she describes as a “home away from home.”
