THROWBACK FRIDAY POST 🔁

Throwback to last year when we gathered to celebrate the Jubilee of Sport with a walk along the Curtis Falls track on Tamborine Mountain ⛰️

It was a day where we gathered as the Body of Christ to enjoy God's beautiful creation. People from our parish, some of whom didn't know each other, enjoying fellowship with each other, sharing a meal together and building the community God has blessed us with.

"We are hardwired for community. We are built for relationship. As the Father and the Son are united through the love of the Holy Spirit, so are we united with each other because we are the body of Christ." Fr Mauro.

What are some things you would like to see us do more of as a parish to grow community? Comment below ⤵️

It was such a pleasure to have Vanessa from Archdiocesan Ministries to run our Alpha Holy Spirit Retreat.

On Saturday 30 May, Alpha participants gathered for the retreat. We were blessed to witness many of our participants have an encounter with the Holy Spirit. Many of whom experienced the transformation almost immediately, sharing their testimonies and faith stories in what can only be described as a God filled moment of vulnerability, honesty, trust, and fellowship. We have continued to hear of their experiences in the days following which is a true reflection of their open hearts.

As we approach the last two weeks of the course, we ask for your continued prayers for our participants and their Alpha journey.

Thank you again to Arch Min and all who helped bring this retreat together.

Come Holy Spirit ❤️‍🔥

God is not solitude. God is communion.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—an eternal relationship of perfect love. And because we are created in the image of this God, we are made for relationship, belonging, and community.

That is why RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) is so much more than a program or a class. It is a journey into the heart of God’s family. The Church.

RCIA is for those who:
• Desire to become Catholic
• Have never been baptised
• Were baptised in another Christian tradition
• Need First Communion and/or Confirmation as adults

No one walks this path alone. Through prayer, friendship, listening, and encouragement, our RCIA team and parish community accompany each person every step of the way.

This journey is one of faith, discovery, healing, forgiveness, and grace. It is an invitation to encounter Jesus Christ and to find a home among His people.

If you or someone you know feels drawn to the Catholic Church, know this: there is a place for you here. You are wanted. You are welcome. You belong.

Message us or contact the parish office to learn more about RCIA and how to begin your journey.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Welcome home.

May we move beyond seeing the Trinity as merely a theological puzzle and instead embrace it as the very foundation of our identity and relationships.

Every time we make the Sign of the Cross, we’re not just doing a habit; we’re professing who we are and whose we are - beloved children of a living, ever present God. "Even when we mess up...the Father desires to rescue us rather than destroy us. That's love."

Don’t be afraid to live your faith publicly.
Don’t be afraid to love, to forgive, to build real community.

"Do you want God to be with you? Do you want to experience God? Be united, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you."

You are held in the heart of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

"God is a community. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God teaches us the value of community and teaches us that it is in loving one another that we discover God." Fr Mauro.

This Trinity Sunday, we remember that every Sign of the Cross is not just a habit—it’s our identity. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we belong to a God who is tenderness and compassion, who sent His Son out of love, and who fills us with the Holy Spirit, the ‘divine glue’ that binds us together.

If we want to experience God’s presence, St. Paul tells us how: *‘Be united, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.’*

Let’s live our faith openly, love generously, forgive courageously, and build true community—because we are made in the image of a God who is relationship itself.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. ✝️
