Here's how we incorporated the handiwork of the Men's Shed into our Good Friday Service. Very effective as a centrepiece, and focal point for our worship as we remembered Christ's crucifixion.

Shout out to the clever men at the Forster Tuncurry Men's shed, especially Quincy. Thank you for your work, converting a small version of Jesus with outspread arms to one that's now a metre high. This will be the centrepiece for our Easter celebrations. This is the second piece of work they have done for us. Thanks Champions!

Thank you to all who came from far and wide to make our Christmas Eve service at the Green Cathedral so special. It was a wonderful way to not only pause and reflect, but to commence our giving thanks for the birth of Christ, God with Us.

Christmas Day is almost upon us, but before this wonderful day arrives, there is still Christmas Eve. With all the presents wrapped and food bought, why not come and join us in the stillness of the Green Cathedral Tiona, at 5pm on Christmas Eve as we hear the story of Christ's birth and reflect on how his coming sheds light onto all the fears we hold.
As well as the mandatory insect repellant, it might be wise to pack a chair as well, just in case.
Everyone is most welcome to attend.

Due to the wonderful donations received from the residents, families, staff and suppliers of GLAICA / Pacific Cape Lodge, we were able to partner with Homebase in the creation of many wonderful hampers of food and toys for Homebase to distribute this Christmas.
Happy to be involved in such a worthwhile cause with wonderful partners.

As we, a nation and community, grieve the deaths at Bondi and try to process all that has happened, our local Uniting Churches are opening their doors on Wednesday 17 th December between the hours of 12noon and 2pm for anyone to come and find a place of quiet. There will be the opportunity to sit and reflect, to light candles, pray and if needed to speak of the emotions you are currently holding. It is hoped that this small gesture will offer assistance and comfort to those who attend and to be one small
step in signifying that as a community we stand together with all those affected and desire that our nation can live in peace.

The invitation is extended anyone in the community to come and find a place of reflection and quiet at the following Uniting Churches this Wednesday from 12noon to 2pm - Hallidays Point, Forster, Manning (Taree), Coopernook, and Gloucester. Wingham will be open on either Thursday or Friday at a time to be advised.

Yesterday's Advent word 'reorient' was expanded on by the phrase 'reorient my path to walk humbly with God'. To walk humbly with God is, among other things, to know our place beside our fellow humans and to respect both their lives and their worth.
Due to the events of yesterday our daily words will be suspended as we think of, and pray for, all affected by yesterday's horrific events.

Today's word is one I think we need to continually keep in mind, and in doing so, implement.

Alyssa and her family were seriously impacted by the May 2025 floods, which sadly damaged her beloved piano beyond repair. Thanks to the generosity of the Uniting Church In Australia Forster / Tuncurry Congregation, Uniting Church NSW & ACT Moderator’s Disaster Fund and to Bass N Blues Music Megastore, Alyssa now has a brand-new piano to continue her love of music!

We are so grateful for the kindness, support and community offered our students.
