The apostles were a force to be reckoned with.

This week we’re reading Acts 5–6, where we see their unwavering passion for Jesus in the face of persecution, threats, imprisonment and even beatings.

The Apostles had one mission: make Jesus known. And when opposition came, they didn’t back down.

In fact, after being beaten for preaching about Jesus, they left rejoicing that they had been counted worthy to suffer for His name.

What?! That kind of faith is confronting.

Most of us won’t face prison or beatings for speaking about Jesus today — but we can still hold back because of fear, embarrassment or the pressure to fit in.

If the apostles believed sharing Jesus was worth suffering for, perhaps it’s worth asking:

A huge and heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who has helped our youth get to SYNC and DRASTIC Camps at Stanwell Tops this September! ❤️

A special shout-out to Great Lakes SeaChanges Op Shop, who generously donated towards the cost of our camp bus. Jenny and the team are always finding ways to support our Pantry ministry and local families — your generosity and humble service do not go unnoticed. Thank you!

And to our wonderful church and Pantry community who bought sausages and steak sandwiches at our fundraiser — you’ve helped us reduce camp fees and make camp more accessible for families.

This is a Kingdom investment in the next generation. These camps give our young people space to grow in faith, build friendships and experience God’s love in unforgettable ways.

Our shelves are stocked and ready to serve the community again next Monday!

Pantry is open every Monday of the school Term, to anyone in the community- rain/ hail or shine. We usually meet outdoors but when the weather turns wild like yesterday we have a cosy indoor space to meet.

Come along and enjoy brunch, do your shopping and have a chat with a local.
