At Tent this week 💛
We heard the amazing story from Mark 2 about a man who couldn’t walk and his friends who carried him to Jesus - they even made a hole in the roof to help him get there! 🏠
We learned that Jesus welcomes everyone, no matter who they are or how they come. He sees our hearts, forgives us, and loves us completely. 💕
We prayed for faith like the man and his friends - to be brave, creative, and kind, and to help others find their way to Jesus too.
And of course, we sang two fun songs together! 🎶
What a joyful time to be reminded that Jesus is always with us, especially when life feels tricky.
For the grown-ups:
In summary, we read a story of how Jesus sees people’s faith when they approach Him, yet we also noticed that some people face extra barriers when trying to enter a community to be with Jesus. We saw that Jesus was responsive to these people, even when their actions caused disruption by breaking through the roof.
Jesus first tended to the man’s spiritual need for forgiveness, and when the Scribes - important religious leaders of the time - questioned His authority (“Who can forgive sins but God alone?”), Jesus revealed His divine power by also healing the man’s body, enabling him to walk.
We’d love to see you at our next Tent gathering on Sunday 9th November at 3pm at Sanctuary.
All are welcome!
