Father’s Day at The City Church 🤎

This Sunday, we’re celebrating the dads, grandads and father figures in our lives, and we’d love you to join us.

SUNDAY RECAP 🤍 | MAKING SPACE

What are you making room for?

On Sunday, Pastor Michelle shared from 2 Kings 4:1–18 and reminded us that if we want to hear from God, receive from Him and know more of His heart, we have to make space.

Sometimes what feels like lack might actually be space — space for God to speak, move and remind us who He says we are.

And just like the woman who said, “I have nothing… except a little oil,” God can begin with what we already have, even when it doesn’t feel like much.

A few questions to carry with you this week:

What in your life feels like it’s lacking?
What is your “I have nothing except…”?
What are you making room for?
Will you make room for God before you even see the outcome?

Make space. Come expectant. And let God meet you there. 🤍

We’re coming into this Sunday with expectation.

We’re so looking forward to having Ps Michelle Heather with us, followed by a practical prophecy workshop after the service.

We believe God still speaks, that the Holy Spirit is at work, and that His gifts are given to strengthen, encourage and build up His people.

Come ready to receive, to learn, and to make room for what God wants to do among us.

FROM BURDEN TO BUILD

On Sunday, we looked at Nehemiah. Before anything was rebuilt, God first stirred something within him. He carried that burden in prayer, and prayer gave him the courage and direction to act.

𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧.
𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞.
𝐎𝐛𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐮𝐬.

We don’t have to do everything, but we each have a part to play.

What has God placed on your heart? Bring it to Him in prayer, take the next step, and see what He might build through it.

Today marks the final day of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting. 🙏

For the past three weeks, we’ve made space to seek God, pray, listen for His voice and grow closer to Him together.

Last Sunday, Pastor Chris reminded us of the power of prayer and what can happen when we come together in faith. God invites us to come to Him, surrender what we’re carrying and trust the Holy Spirit at work within us.

These 21 days may be coming to an end, but what God is doing doesn’t end here.

Let’s keep praying, seeking Him and showing up for one another.

Whether you’ve followed Jesus for years, you’ve been away for a while, or you’re simply curious about faith, there’s a place for you here.

FIJI 🇫🇯 | PART THREE
Narewa

God is at work in the mountains of Narewa. 🇫🇯❤️

What a welcome back to this beautiful village.

One of the most special parts of returning was hearing what God has been doing over the past year and seeing the fruit of seeds that were sown during our last visit.

We heard stories of people who have come to the Lord through simple acts of generosity. Things that seemed small to us, gifts given, equipment provided, friendships formed, God has used to open doors, break down barriers and draw people to Himself.

What a reminder that we don’t always get to see what God does with something once we place it in His hands.

This year we came carrying more gifts from our TCC family, some additional sound equipment and a volleyball net for the village. Ps Chris shared the Word, Johno helped out the sound team, we worshipped together, shared a beautiful meal.

We are so grateful for Pastor Rusi, Laite and the church in Narewa, and for the privilege of partnering together in the mission of God.

We came home encouraged by what we saw, grateful for what God has already done, and expectant for what is still ahead.

Much love from TCC here in Australia! We’ll be praying for you! 🇫🇯❤️
