🌿 Happy Sabbath!
A warm and joyful Sabbath to you. We’re grateful you’ve chosen to worship with us today at Traralgon SDA Church. As we gather in God’s presence, may His peace settle over your heart, His strength renew your spirit, and His hope lift your thoughts heavenward.

May this Sabbath be a reminder of God’s nearness and His desire to bless you richly. Share today’s joy by offering a smile, a kind word, or an invitation to someone who may need encouragement and fellowship.

ADVENT MISSION
This quarter we highlight the East‑Central African Division, a region that spans 12 countries: Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.

Spotlight: Tanzania
This quarter we also highlight Tanzania, where Adventist mission work began in 1903 through two German missionaries, A.C. Enns and Johannes Ehlers—one a gardener and the other a church painter. Tanzania is rich in natural symbols: the giraffe as its national animal, the African clove as its national flower, and the uhuru torch representing freedom and light. The country is the world’s largest producer of cloves and is the only place where the deep‑blue gemstone tanzanite, discovered in 1967, is found.

TODAY’S OFFERING
Today’s offering supports Avondale University, a Christ‑centred community preparing students for service, mission, and leadership. Funds will strengthen essential campus infrastructure and support innovative learning initiatives that equip graduates to serve in churches, schools, hospitals, and communities worldwide. 🌟THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The Lord Jesus Christ has prepared a covering—the robe of His own righteousness—that He will put on every repenting, believing soul who by faith will receive it. Said John, “Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world” (John 1:29). Sin is the transgression of the law. Christ died to make it possible for every man to have his sins taken away. A fig leaf apron will never cover our nakedness.
Sin must be taken away, and the garment of Christ’s righteousness must cover the transgressor of God’s law. Then when the Lord looks upon the believing sinner, He sees, not the fig leaves covering him, but Christ’s own robe of righteousness, which is perfect obedience to the law of Jehovah. Man has hidden his nakedness, not under a covering of fig leaves, but under the robe of Christ’s righteousness.

Ellen G. White, The Upward Look, p. 378

🌿 Happy Sabbath!
We’re glad you’re worshipping with us today. May the Lord refresh your spirit and fill you with His peace and hope. Bless someone with a smile or a warm invitation.

Spotlight: Burundi
One of the featured countries is Burundi, where early Adventist work faced strong resistance from both local chiefs and other denominations, especially the Catholic Church.

The first Adventist missionary to enter Burundi was David E. Delhove, who arrived in 1925 and settled in Buganda, Cibitoke province. The area was heavily infested with disease‑carrying mosquitoes, creating serious health risks for the community. To better serve the people, Delhove completed a course in tropical medicine and undertook a one‑month hospital internship, qualifying as an Agent Sanitaire. This allowed him to receive and administer free medication to the local population, opening doors for ministry and service.

🌟THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Our plans are not always God's plans. He may see that it is best for us and for His cause to refuse our very best intentions, as He did in the case of David. But of one thing we may be assured, He will bless and use in the advancement of His cause those who sincerely devote themselves and all they have to His glory. If He sees it best not to grant their desires, He will counterbalance the refusal by giving them tokens of His love and entrusting to them another service.

In His loving care and interest for us, often He who understands us better than we understand ourselves refuses to permit us selfishly to seek the gratification of our own ambition. He does not permit us to pass by the homely but sacred duties that lie next us. Often these duties afford the very training essential to prepare us for a higher work. Often our plans fail that God's plans for us may succeed.

We are never called upon to make a real sacrifice for God. Many things He asks us to yield to Him, but in doing this we are but giving up that which hinders us in the heavenward way. Even when called upon to surrender those things which in themselves are good, we may be sure that God is thus working out for us some higher good.

— Ellen G. White, Ministry of Healing, pp. 473–474

Spotlight: Kenya
One of the countries featured this quarter is Kenya. The first African woman to win a Nobel Peace Prize was Wangari Muta Maathai, a Kenyan environmental, social, and political activist. She won the prize in 2004 for contributions to sustainable development, democracy, and peace. She also founded the Green Belt Movement, which has planted more than 51 million trees throughout Kenya.

Almost 75 percent of all gold medal winners in long distance running come from Kenya. The current world record holder for the men's marathon, Kelvin Kiptum, as well as the men with the next five fastest times, are all Kenyan.

Mount Kenya is an extinct volcano and the second highest mountain in Africa at 5,199 m.

🌟THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Let not your heart be troubled, He said; "Ye believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto Myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And wither I go ye know, and the way ye know."

The object of Christ's departure was the opposite of what the disciples feared. It did not mean a final separation. He was going to prepare a place for them, that He might come again, and receive them unto Himself. While He was building mansions for them, they were to build characters after the divine similitude.

Ellen G. White, Heaven, pp 9, 10

There are not many ways to heaven. Each one may not choose his own way. Christ says, "I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me." Since the first gospel sermon was preached, when in Eden it was declared that the seed of the woman should bruise the serpent's head, Christ had been uplifted as the way, the truth, and the life. He was the way when Adam lived, when Abel presented to God the blood of the slain lamb, representing the blood of the Redeemer. Christ was the way by which patriarchs and prophets were saved. He is the way by which alone we can have access to God.

Ellen G. White, The Desire of Ages, p. 663

Happy Sabbath!

Our connection to God is through our prayer. That is our definite communication to Him. We have been exploring these bible study weeks and it explains how we can pray and think about during it.

1. Seek God's will, not your own.
2. Consider your motives.
3. Do you have a cherished sin?
4. Abide in God and His Word.
5. Have faith when you pray.
6. State of your heart (humble or proud).
7. Preserve and Forgive Others.
8. God sees the bigger picture. He knows what is best for you.

Improving our way of prayer can allow us to touch onto more ideas for the conversation, leading to more warmer thoughts and close feelings with the Lord.

God bless!

Spotlight: Kenya
Kenya is one of the countries highlighted this quarter. The impressive Great Rift Valley runs through the nation from north to south, shaping much of its landscape. On the western side lies Lake Victoria, shared with Uganda and Tanzania. It is the largest tropical lake in the world and the second‑largest freshwater lake.

Farming is the backbone of Kenya’s economy. The country is also a major global exporter of coffee, tea, and cut flowers, especially roses and chrysanthemums.

To protect its rich wildlife heritage, the Kenyan government has established more than 50 national parks and reserves, safeguarding animals from poaching and preserving the nation’s natural treasures.

🌟 Thought for Today

Adam and Eve, in their untainted purity, delighted in the sights and sounds of Eden. God appointed them their work in the garden, “to dress it and to keep it.” Genesis 2:15. Each day’s labour brought them health and gladness, and the happy pair greeted with joy the visits of their Creator, as in the cool of the day He walked and talked with them. Daily God taught them His lessons.

The plan of life which God appointed for our first parents has lessons for us. Although sin has cast its shadow over the earth, God desires His children to find delight in the works of His hands. The more closely His plan of life is followed, the more wonderfully He will work to restore suffering humanity.

The sick need to be brought into close touch with nature. An outdoor life amid natural surroundings would work wonders for many a helpless and almost hopeless invalid.

Happy Sabbath!

A reminder for you is to always remember that prayer is our best way to maintain our connection to Jesus. Pray for your joys, worries and sorrows. Jesus is listening and He will answer in time.

Through prayer, it builds our faith.

🌿 Joyful Sabbath Greetings
Happy Sabbath and welcome to Traralgon SDA Church. May the Lord’s presence bring peace and joy to your heart today. Bless someone by inviting them to worship with us.

ADVENT MISSION

Spotlight: Kenya
One of the countries featured this quarter is Kenya. The first Adventist missionaries came to British East Africa (now Kenya) in 1906. Peter Nyambo, Arthur Carscallen, and his wife, Hellen Thompson, established the Cendia Mission on the eastern shores of Lake Victoria and began work among the Luo people.

Strict laws barred Europeans and Africans from mingling socially, but an Adventist church and school were established at Kaigat inside the Nandi Reserve in 1933 and occasionally the other European Adventists worshiped with them there.

Kenya is one of the most popular destinations for safaris. Millions of people visit the savannah of Kenya each year to see cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, lions, rhinos, zebras, and more.

🌟 Thought for Today
It is our own character and experience that determine our influence upon others. In order to convince others of the power of Christ's grace, we must know its power in our own hearts and lives. The gospel we present for the saving of souls must be the gospel by which our own souls are saved. Only through a living faith in Christ as a personal Saviour is it possible to make our influence felt in a sceptical world. If we would draw sinners out of the swift-running current, our own feet must be firmly set upon the Rock, Christ Jesus.

The badge of Christianity is not an outward sign, not the wearing of a cross or a crown, but it is that which reveals the union of man with God. By the power of His grace manifested in the transformation of character the world is to be convinced that God has sent His Son as its Redeemer. No other influence that can surround the human should have such power as the influence of an unselfish life. The strongest argument in favour of the gospel is a loving and lovable Christian.

Happy Sabbath!

For this week's bible study, we are asked on how we study the bible. Have you had a chance to read the Word and learn something new this week?

Time tends to catch up to us, but with practice we can find time for the Word so we learn more about ourselves and God.

God bless.
