‼️ NOTICE OF AGM, MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL AND EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR TIS COMMITTEES ‼️

Assalaamualaikum wrwb. Our Annual General Meeting is coming up on the 13th of June inshaAllah. This year is an election year, meaning the Consultative and Executive Committee positions are open for nomination. It is crucial that all TIS members have renewed their membership and paid the annual fee of $25. Please make sure you attend the AGM so we can make quorum and complete the agenda promptly.

Assalaamualaikum wrwb everyone. Eid Al Adha prayer will be next Wednesday in the same location as the last Eid, inshaAllah. Please familiarise yourself with the location so you can arrive on time for prayer to start at 8am.

We kindly request that you DO NOT bring ANY food or sweets into the prayer hall. Everyone will also be required to take their shoes off outside. These are venue policies and we want to respect them so we can continue using venues like this in future. Thank you in advance for your efforts to represent the Muslim community positively.

🚨If you follow the local moon sighting, Eid prayer will be at 8am on Thursday the 28th at the Townsville Mosque, inshaAllah. Please be mindful of parking rules around the mosque and ensure you do not park on private property.

The Australian Fatwa Council has just announced that the day of Eid Al Adha will be on Wednesday 27th of May InshaAllah. Additional details for Eid prayer and venue will be provided in the next few days InshaAllah.

With the growing Muslim population in Townsville, the Townsville Mosque is now facing serious pressure on prayer space, parking, and education facilities.

We have some great news. Alhamdulillah, TIS has secured an agreement to purchase 187 Ross River Road, Mundingburra (next to the mosque)

💰 Financial Target for first stage
• Total estimated cost (purchase, stamp duty, demolition, parking works): $700,000.

Alhamdulillah, last Friday’s food sale was a beautiful reflection of our community’s generosity and unity truly uplifting to witness. Jazakum Allahu Khairan to everyone who contributed, supported & attended.

By the will of Allah, we are excited to continue this effort again on this Friday, 10th April at the Townsville Mosque, immediately after Jummah Salah in sha Allah.

Join us, bring your family & friends, and be part of something meaningful to our mosque expansion project!

Every meal you purchase is more than just food, it is a contribution towards the expansion of our Masjid helping to create a space that will serve generations to come. Your support goes directly into building, strengthening and sustaining a house of Allah, a form of Sadaqah Jariyah that continues to reward you long after.
