Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (still most often called by the traditional title Corpus Christi).

We give thanks to God for the awesome gift of the Body and Blood Soul and Divinity of our Lord made present for us under the mere appearance of bread and wine.

The Lord comes to us as strength for our journey and as a foretaste of the heavenly banquet.

May our lives increasingly resemble the Mystery we receive: love offered up and poured out for the world.

And it's back to White, with touches of Gold, as we prepare to celebrate the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity this weekend and the Feast of Corpus Christi next weekend.
It's appropriately a bit more subdued than our Easter and Pentecost arrangements.

I celebrated Mass yesterday at Southern Cross Catholic College, Annandale for their Feast Day - Mary Help of Christians. It was the first full school (Prep to Year 12) Mass for a good number of years. That means that there were as many as 1700 people present (students and staff).
It was a really lovely celebration.

Remaining Human
