SAVE ST MATT’S: St Matthew’s is more than a church building. It is a War Memorial Church, a sacred place of worship, and part of Townsville’s story. For generations, families have gathered here for baptisms, marriages, funerals and remembrance. Now it is under threat. Last Sunday, we had a visit from our Diocesan Bishop Keith Joseph.
The Receiver is seeking the approval of the Supreme Court in July, to sell more Church properties including St Matthew's Mundingburra.
The St Matthew's community are all feeling absolutely devastated by this news.
Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
