We’re switching things up and having our annual Church in the Park this week.

We’ll gather for a short devotion on what it means to be found in community, then spend some time soaking up the incredible spring weather and make the most of time together in community.

Here are the details:

📆 Sunday 27th September, 9:30 am
📍 Queens Park - off Lindsay Street (next to the playground - look for the Outlook banner)
🧺 BYO brunch + picnic gear

Please note: this means there will be no usual Sunday Gathering at Foundry Street.

We’re already getting hungry thinking about Around the Table happening this Sunday.

After our usual gathering, we’ll be sharing lunch together - nothing complicated, just time around the table as a church community. BYO your favourite side.

If Outlook is already home for you, come ready to linger a little longer.

And if you’ve been thinking about visiting for the first time, this is a great Sunday to come - there's a seat at the table for you!

Grateful for what God is doing amongst us as we're found in community, together!

We’re still sorting through photos from a beautifully full week: Kids Takeover, Baptism Sunday, and the Women’s Connect dinner… all the good stuff of being found in community together!

But even before we share the photos, we’re grateful for the ordinary ways God shows up in community.

Grateful for kids who know they belong and have something to bring
Grateful for people saying yes to Jesus
Grateful for gatherings around tables
And grateful for gathered worship, prayer, the Word, and the quiet ways God is forming us together

Somewhere in the middle of all of it, God is building something deeper than moments on a Sunday - and we’re grateful for that too!

This is a beautifully full week in the life of our little community.

On Sunday, it’s our annual Kids Takeover - with kids serving across different areas of church life, from welcome and announcements to coffee, morning tea, and more. We love making space for our kids to know they belong in community too!

It’s also Baptism Sunday, and we’re looking forward to celebrating Lachlan as he says yes to Jesus this week. These are special moments in the life of any church community, and we can’t wait to celebrate with him.

Our Women’s Connect dinner is happening this Saturday evening too. Registrations are still open online, and it’s not too late to come along. Link to register in the comments.

And on Sunday, we’ll continue our Living Liturgy preaching focus, looking again at worship - this time in the life of the New Testament church.

If you’ve been following along for a while, wondering about connecting in, or waiting for the right week to come - this Sunday is a goodie!

Worship is more than the songs we sing.

It's the re-ordering of our hearts around the One who is worthy.

When we gather, we're not simply filling a room, singing a setlist, or creating a moment. We are coming as the people of God: with our joy, our weariness, our questions, our surrender - turning our attention again to Him.

Because every heart worships.

The question is: what has our affection and attention?

Over the next four weeks, we’re opening up a conversation around worship: what it is, why it matters, and how God uses it to shape us as His gathered people.

The old catechism says, “The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.”

That is our honest prayer for our community.

That worship wouldn't just stir us for a moment, but increasingly shape our lives toward the glory of God.

Join us over the next few weeks as we seek to rediscover the depth and beauty of gathered worship together.

We’re back sharing a little of church life - and what a joy it is to begin with this.

A room filled with conversation.
Kids leaning in and learning.
The Word being opened.
People gathering, worshipping, praying, encouraging, and being formed together.

Church is not a service we attend.
It’s a people we belong to.

We gather as God’s people, in God’s presence, for God’s purposes.

And we’re grateful for what God is building among us.
