St John's Toorak An historic church in inner-city Melbourne, Australia. Church & Garden Open 7 days a week. St. Services at 8am and 10am on Sundays.

John’s Anglican church has been a prominent presence in the Toorak area since the church was completed and opened for worship in 1862. We are a community who gather regularly to worship and pray, to study the Bible, to enjoy fellowship and to discuss matters of faith. As we seek to follow Jesus, we welcome anyone who desires to do the same, regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation or background.

Today, Sunday 18 October, we celebrate The Feast of St. Luke, Evangelist & Martyr.
St. Luke was the author of the Gospel According to Luke and the Acts of the Apostles and a companion of St. Paul the Apostle.
He is a patron saint of physicians and artists, and his symbol is an ox, often depicted with wings, as seen in this icon by Borovikovsky.

We are excited to welcome Bishop Ben Wong to St. John's tomorrow, Sunday 18 October, for the feast of St. Luke and our annual service of Baptism, Confirmation & Reception into the Anglican Church.
Bishop Ben serves the Episcopal Area of Nunawading, which includes churches and communities across Melbourne’s eastern and inner south-eastern suburbs and Bayside. Before becoming Bishop of Nunawading, he served as Vicar of TIMA Anglican Parish and Canon to the Archbishop for Multicultural Ministry and Coordinator of Chinese Ministry. Under his leadership, TIMA developed into a parish serving four ministry centres, with English, Mandarin and Cantonese speaking congregations. His ministry has also included evangelism, church planting and revitalisation, clergy mentoring, coaching and theological education.

Meet our Parish Administrator Alicia's guinea pigs, Caligula & Nero 🐹
Caligula and Nero came to stay with Alicia and Finn when their owners were visiting and performing opera in Europe. Things went well in Europe and their owners decided to stay, so Alicia and Finn adopted them permanently. They love head scratches and Puccini.
