This is exactly how I love to read and, sadly, how I rarely find myself actually reading.

There's such a universal craving for deep reading, deep thinking, and deep connection — all requiring deep time, which is rare in a world of shallow distraction. I'm so struck by Maya Smart's take on this and the phrase "privilege of focus."

so, Facebook friends - I need your help!

Today, at 9:25am when I went to live-stream our Sunday service on FB Live, just as I have done every Sunday for the last 8 months, FB wouldn't let me.

It said that FB chnaged its policy this week so that only sites with 100 or more followers could use FB Live.

At that point, I said a few things (under my breathe) I don't normally say when I'm about to lead sacred worship....needless to say, I wasn't impressed, especially as Facebook hadn't bothered to email or notify me in advance of this policy change 🤬

So, our church needs LOTS of people to follow our page, so that we have well over 100 followers, to ensure we can live-stream again.

You don't have to be religious, or have any interest in St Theodore's /God/whatever. You only have to tolerate having 1-2 posts a week in your feed from St Theodore's Anglican Church. And you don't have to read said posts either 😀🥰

We simply need to generate enough "crowd-following" to ensure FB Live survives !!!!
