On this great feast of the Assumption, we honour Mary, our Mother and Queen. As she is taken into heavenly glory, may we, too, live in hope of eternal life with Christ. Blessed Solemnity to all 💙🙏🏼

Further to the post relating to the passing of Fr Tim Hogan, The additional detail is from our Diocese
"Please pray for the repose of the soul of Rev Tim Hogan, one of the retired priests in our Diocese, who died yesterday, Sunday 6 July 2025. He was 81 years old.
He was born on 16 May 1944 to parents John and Joan, with his twin brother John (who passed away a few years ago) and sister, Angela. He was baptised in May 1944 in Sacred Heart Church Mosman.
Fr Tim lived a life dedicated to Our Lord. He was born with cerebral palsy, yet he did not let this define him. During the 1980s/1990s the Church rules regarding men with disabilities being ordained were relaxed. Despite significant challenges Tim entered St Paul’s Seminary, was ordained to the Diaconate on 3 April 1993 and later ordained a priest by Bishop Bede Heather on 4 December 1993. He is one of the few men with cerebral palsy to be ordained a priest. He served in many capacities - as Assistant Parish Priest at St Anthony of Padua, Toongabbie from 1999 - 2007 as well as at St Joseph’s Parish, Kingswood and Blacktown Parish and at the Parramatta Tribunal Office. He was known to visit parishioners regularly, especially those homebound and attended as many youth and other parish activities as possible. He loved classical music, in particular Bach.
In recent years, Fr Tim lived in Holy Spirit Aged Care Home in Croydon, where he was lovingly taken care of.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Anthony of Padua Church, Toongabbie on Monday 14 July 2025 at 10.30am, followed by the burial at Castle Hill Cemetery.
All clergy are invited to concelebrate.
Rev Tim Hogan: 16 May 1944 - 6 July 2025.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
