Reminded of this great truth this morning, that there is POWER in the NAME of JESUS.
"Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." Philippians 2:9-11. Amen!!!

"Come to me," Jesus said, "all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30
This is a beautiful piece of scripture.
Jesus is offering you and I something the world cannot give, something that is worth more than all the riches we could ever dream of. He is offering us what no man can. He is offering us rest for our souls. Freedom from worry, turmoil, depression, rejection and hurt. You have nothing to loose but everything to gain. Come to Jesus and know what it is like to have a "soul at rest."

Our problem is never that our love for God is too small. Our problem is understanding and receiving His great love for us. No man or woman will ever love us like God loves us. Be encouraged today, that " nothing can seperate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:39

What I love about church is the opportunity we have to fellowship, encourage and build one another up in the faith.

So what must we do?
Simply follow Gods commandment and continue to ‘love one another, just as Christ has loved us’ - John 13:34

Here are just a few...
1. The bible indicates it's what we should do. (Hebrews 10:25)
2. You will have the opportunity to worship God.
3. You will likely have some of life's big questions answered.
4. The preaching of the Bible will help set direction in your life.
5. You will probably make some new friends.

Faith and trust are inseparable.

Emotions can impair our judgement and prevent us from moving forward in faith.

We must trust God wholly, pray ceaselessly, and not lose heart, because just as a storm lasts only for a while, so are the trials in our lives.

Ten more reasons why we should sow ourselves into local church!
1. Being there will encourage your Pastors and leaders.
2. It will help you understand the bible.
3. If you have kids, it will teach them to value God and His church.
4. It will give you an outlet for service and ministry.
5. You'll sing inspirational songs that will carry you through the week.
6. You will be able to give praise reports and share stories of God working in your life.
7. You'll be prayed for.
8. It will help you acknowledge and confess your sins.
9. You'll receive love from others.
10. It will give you opportunity to give financially to those in need. You don't have to GO it alone, join us at GO Church.
