Today, Saturday 5 September 2026, our Parish was filled with great joy and thanksgiving as we witnessed the blessed Full Deacon Ordinations of Deacon Peter (Mr Remon Benyamin) and Deacon Daoud (Mr Amgad Hanna), through the blessed hands of His Grace Bishop Rewis.
It was a most precious and grace-filled day in the life of our Parish, as our congregation gathered together in prayer and thanksgiving, rejoicing in the calling of these two beloved servants to the sacred ministry of the diaconate.
The ordination of Deacon Peter marks an important step in his preparation for his forthcoming Ordination to the Holy Priesthood on Saturday 19 September 2026, as he continues to prepare himself for a life dedicated to the service of Christ, His Church and His people.
The ordination of Deacon Daoud is likewise a great blessing to our Parish, strengthening the service of the Holy Altar and supporting the liturgical needs of our church.
Following the Divine Liturgy, His Grace, the Clergy and congregation gathered together in fellowship for a celebratory lunch, giving thanks to God for the blessings bestowed upon our Parish on this joyful and memorable day.
We offer our heartfelt gratitude to His Grace Bishop Rewis for his loving shepherding, fatherly care and continual support, and to the beloved Clergy from across the Diocese who joined us and shared in the joy of this blessed occasion.
We pray that our Lord Jesus Christ may preserve and strengthen Deacon Peter and Deacon Daoud, granting them wisdom, humility, steadfastness and grace in their service, and that their ministry may always be fruitful for the glory of His Holy Name and the edification of His Holy Church.
May the Lord establish the work of their hands and bless their service all the days of their lives!
