We’d love to have you join us, even if you don't believe what we believe, we hope that you'll find a place to belong. Sunday Church Services 10am (except on our community lunch day)
Small groups, Alpha & The Marriage Course are run throughout the year check the website for details. We open for food relief Monday and Wednesday 2:30pm-5pm and Friday’s 10am-12:30pm, anyone is welcome! On the 4th Sunday (except Dec & Jan) we have a community meal and there is a community pantry available 24/7 on the Smith St side of the church. We see ourselves as a community of people who gather in obedience to God’s call to all people. We understand ourselves as shaped by the Biblical stories, that call us to be Christ-centred and prayerful whilst being fully engaged in our local context. We serve others through caring for people and their needs, providing a safe place to learn and grow so that we are better-equipped to address the issues that are confronting us and the wider community. We aim to educate and equip our members to use their gifts in service and witness to those around them.

Ps. Sue Maric made an important announcement during our worship service on Sunday.
“After much deliberation and prayer, I have decided to conclude as Senior Pastor of Thornbury Church of Christ at the end of July.

After nearly 11 years, I understand this news may come as a shock and bring a season of grief. It has been a profound privilege to serve as the Senior Pastor since November 2015. I first arrived as a Bible college student, and the church community graciously allowed me to grow into the role.

God has been entirely faithful, and together we have witnessed many wonderful things. I am fully confident that God holds Thornbury Church of Christ in the palm of His hand. Jesus is the Lord of this church, and He always will be.

I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of Thornbury’s history over the past decade, standing on the shoulders of the many faithful leaders who came before me.”

A farewell celebration service will be held on Sunday, 2nd August at 10:00 everyone is welcome.
