Dear Parishioners,
Lebanon needs us, and the time to act is now.
Many families are struggling to meet even their most basic needs.

The Maronite Eparchy of Australia, New Zealand and Oceania, in collaboration with the Australian Lebanese Medical Association (ALMA), is filling containers with vital aid for families in Lebanon.
We are accepting brand new items only (NO CLOTHING), including food, medical supplies, hygiene, education and recreational essentials. Please refer to the flyer for the full list of items.

Every donation matters. Monetary donations are also welcome to help us purchase critical supplies.

All aid will be distributed in Lebanon by Caritas Lebanon, with shipment containers and transport generously donated by Maersk.

Please drop off all donations at our Parish Office (230 Normanby Ave Thornbury – ramp up to 2nd level car park, on the right hand side, on weekdays between 10am and 4pm, before 30 June 2026.

Let us stand with Lebanon in this time of need. Together, we can deliver hope.

We hope everyone is well.

Please find attached the Newsletter for this weekend, the fourth Sunday of Pentecost.

On page 2, we have an exciting announcement to save the date for the Feast of the Assumption Dinner Dance (Haflé) on Saturday 15th August, with more details to follow in the coming weeks.

We have included photos on page 3 from the Feast of Corpus Christ Mass last week, plus photos of the First Holy Communion Thanksgiving Mass.

A reminder of the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Mass tonight, Friday, 12th June 2026. We encourage all parishioners to join us for this special celebration as we honour the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Today is the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

It honours the literal heart of Jesus as a symbol of His boundless, passionate love and mercy for humanity. It highlights the redemptive sacrifice of Christ and invites believers to return His love with trust, devotion, and reparation.

Prayer:
O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore you, I love you, and with lively sorrow for my sins, I offer you this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to your will. Amen.

We celebrate the 7th Anniversary of the Ordination of Father Richard Jabour and Father Eli Yammine, who were both Ordained on the same day; 9th June 2019.

We hope everyone is well.

Please find attached the Newsletter for this weekend, the Third Sunday of Pentecost.

This week, we have included photos from the First Holy Communion celebrations that took place in our Church last Saturday. We thank God for these beautiful children who received the Holy Eucharist for the first time and pray that He continues to bless and guide them throughout their faith journey.

Also included in this week’s Newsletter:

• Charity Indoor Soccer World Tournament, taking place on Monday, 8th June, from 10.00am. All proceeds will go towards supporting a Catholic school in Lebanon and helping provide essential resources for students, teachers, and families.

• Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Celebration, Friday, 12th June 2026. We encourage all parishioners to join us for this special celebration as we honour the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
