Prayerful Congratulations to the New Metropolitan Elects

With great joy, we share the blessed news that the Malankara Suriyani Christian Association, which convened on Thursday, 27th August 2026, elected four priests to the Holy Episcopacy.

The following priests were elected:
Rev. Fr. Eldhose Elias
Rev. Fr. Samji T. George
Rev. Fr. Shibu Venad Mathai
V. Rev. Fr. Thomas Paul Ramban

May Almighty God richly bless these four beloved priests as they prepare to be elevated to the Holy Episcopacy. May their lives and ministries continue to be a source of blessing and strengthen the growth, unity, and spiritual mission of the Holy Church.

Our parish is truly honoured to have had the opportunity to support the children and families at Northern Health Hospital Children's Ward💙.

As part of our commitment to serving the wider community, St George Indian Orthodox Church, Melbourne donated three colourful interactive wall activity panels to help create a more welcoming and engaging environment for young patients during their hospital stay.

We are grateful to the Northern Health Foundation for allowing us to be a small part of the wonderful work they do every day in caring for our local community.

A heartfelt thank you to every member of our parish whose generosity and support made this donation possible. Together, we continue to live out our faith through service, compassion and care for others.

With hearts full of gratitude and thanksgiving to God, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to Rev. Fr. Koshy Philip, Vicar, Kadapra Bethlehem St. George Orthodox Syrian Church of the Niranam Diocese, for celebrating the Holy Qurbana at St. George Indian Orthodox Church, Melbourne.

Achen’s reverent service at the Holy Altar and spiritually enriching message were a true blessing to our parish family, strengthening our faith and enriching our worship. We thank Achen for his loving ministry and fellowship, and pray that our Lord continues to bless Achen abundantly with good health, wisdom, strength, and many more years of faithful service in His Holy Church.
